Trying to decide on method

My original plan was to overdose myself on heroin since opioid overdose is just flat out the best way to go, but I couldn't find a dealer. So instead I'll probably either throw a plastic bag with an ether rag in it over my face and go for asphyxiation, or go for overdose and CNS shutdown and just drink most of the bottle, pour the rest onto a rag and fall asleep with the ether rag over my face. I would probably have better results if I took whatever sedatives I could get my hands on ahead of time.
What do you guys think? I'm almost certainly going to do it and the only thing I'm afraid of is a botched attempt.

I'm sorry about whatever has led you to contemplate such things. Have you had a look at the Resource Compendium near the top of the forum? There are miles of very educational links there that can help finetune methods.

nothing in there seemed helpful for my method. What I need is to know how to get as many sedatives as I can.

@DJackson, what I meant was that the resources provide information about the relative reliability of methods. I have no idea about ether either, but there is information about what quantities of what are needed. (With pills, most of the time the answer seems to be "more than you'll be able to ingest", but ... well, check out the resources to see.)

This isn't the right place to find out where to get meds, though.

I know of one case where ether and a bag were tried and 2 cases with chloroform and a bag, all of which were successful. In any case one of the reasons they stopped using ether was because of the small difference between how much it took to knock you out and how much it took to kill you. This is especially true of chloroform.
