i've never strongly believed in an afterlife or reincarnation, even back when i was religious. i just think your mind ceases to exist, i've tried to imagine it before, "id have no body so i wouldnt feel, id have no eyes so i wouldnt see, id have no ears so i wouldnt hear, id have no mind so i wouldnt think-" and trying to imagine that last part filled me with dread, my brain simply refused to do that to protect itself, whenever i want to ctb my justification is "i would get away from my problems and there would be nothing" but there would just be nothing.

Have you ever heard of the infinite monkey theorem? Basically if a monkey types randomly on a typewriter for an infinite amount of time it will eventually write Shakespeare by pure chance.
Think of the universe in a similar way. If time and space are infinite or if the universe keeps repeating then the exact arrangement of atoms that created your specific consciousness will inevitably come together again. Since you exist now, the "recipe) for your consciousness is possible. and in an infinite timeline. it has to repeat
