To people who took SN and didn't die bc they were rescued, was it painful? Did you panic? Was it peaceful?

hello, i had an attempt a year ago on this same month. you can look at my profile and find my goodbye thread to get a better idea but i drank SN and was discovered while unconscious. all i can say is it varies from person to person, but in my case i suffer with severe anxiety so the time window from drinking the SN and then waiting to pass out was the most uncomfortable part for me, i wasnt in pain or anything but since i was so anxious it made my nausea a little worse but it's not unbearable pain, i've had stomach aches that used to last hours so it's not a feeling i wasnt familar with. if you suffer with anxiety then benzos are a must if you want the most comfort. i had everything else but benzos.. i would have been successful if i was not found.

edit : no one on here is going to encourage you to take your own life. that is a decision you and only YOU alone can make. all we can do is give you as much support as you need, encouraging others to CTB is frowned upon. i'm sorry for your suffering, and i hope you can confide in us.

it's usually 10-15 minutes, i can't exactly pinpoint the time of unconsciousness but i think it took me 18-ish minutes. i was listening to music to pass time

I took SN and was found after I started having seizures. I was quickly saved and given methylene blue in the ambulance right before my blood pressure dipped .
I'd say the only painful part of the experience was the anxiety . Everything else is manageable even if you somehow survive.

How were you found? Was there anyone else there in the house or Seizures were loud enough to be heard by people outside the house?

For people who experienced it, did you feel short of breath or like you couldn't get enough oxygen? Did it feel like you were going to die? That's what I'm most afraid of.

There was a post from someone recently… username "razor"-something.. I'm sorry forgot the exact one but they posted recently. They didn't do any of the protocol and survived (presumably only bc being found however in truth it's possible they would have suffered much more and/or survived regardless). Perhaps use the search function to find their posts?

Wondering this as well... I don't mind the pain but suffocating would make me freak out

I took sn 3 days ago and wasn't found but I puked a majority of it up and went through a lot of the hypoxia alone .
It's disorienting , no so much painful more like your body is fragile and you feel drunk and confused.
I woke up looking like a corpse.... most of what happened is under private chat if you care to know more or you could just ask .

I'm ready to endure any torment after taking SN. As long as it ends in death. To some extent, I even want to torture my body for torturing me like this. It sounds crazy, like I have a split personality. I've tested SN and the medications several times. Everything is sitting in the closet, waiting for its moment. I often look at all these objects and touch them. I just want the torment to end, I think many will understand. Physical torment is a disaster!

I 100% wouldn't have survived if I hadn't been found, as I had a cardiac arrest. Also, I probably wouldn't have suffered more, as I didn't even know what was going on. My MetHb ended up being 97%

Yes I read that after! About the cardiac arrest.
The suffering is a tough one.. I'm so glad you don't remember basically any pain or discomfort now anymore. That's good. But it's still possible that you've felt it *during* this whole ordeal right… which I suppose everyone has to decide for themselves — can they endure temporary pain if they KNOW it will be over soon? But still be "okay" with writhing with it in the moment?

With your case I did wonder how long your discomfort state would have lasted without intervention… bc in your medical records it does say "patient is alert but confused" for quite a while, like even when you arrive at the hospital. :/ again, it's good you can't remember anything now! But during? It may or may not have been pleasant…:/
