  • Hey Guest,

Today, OFCOM launched an official investigation into Sanctioned Suicide under the UK’s Online Safety Act. This has already made headlines across the UK.

This is a clear and unprecedented overreach by a foreign regulator against a U.S.-based platform. We reject this interference and will be defending the site’s existence and mission.

In addition to our public response, we are currently seeking legal representation to ensure the best possible defense in this matter. If you are a lawyer or know of one who may be able to assist, please contact us at [email protected].

So. Some people get on my nerves with this "everyone has a purpose, life is a gift, the world is beautiful" yada yada nonsense.

Life to me is not a gift. Life is an obligation to go to work to pay bills that never end. Life is an obligation to help those around you and somehow stay alive and thrive for them. Life is an obligation to seem psychologically okay when you are not, just to make ends meet and keep your freedom.

I am tired of the obligation. I am tired of giving my all and still letting people down when really all I want is to check out. I'm ready to go.

But then what is on the other side of death? Is it more of the same? More mistakes for me to make? More beings for me to let down, God included?

In my opinion we were damned as soon as we were conceived in our mother's womb. Death in this life would only be the beginning of the trouble in the next. There never is an end to the suffering because we can't truly erase our existence.
Well when life gives you lemons you make lemonade : ) lol jj

I just can't imagine having a great relationship with someone and suing them at the same time.
You can if you're an antinatalist. If you have strong feelings towards that philosophy then it's a possibility.

To quote my old therapist's statement and my response...

Therapist: "Life is a wonderful thing!"

Me: "If it's so wonderful, why do so many people want out?"

Therapist after giving a stupid look: "OK, moving on....."

Life is nasty and brutish. Whatever traces of beauty and hope there may be, get drowned out by the sea of suffering.
