Over the past year, increased regulatory pressure in multiple regions like UK OFCOM and Australia's eSafety has led to higher operational costs, including infrastructure, security, and the need to work with more specialized service providers to keep the site online and stable.

If you value the community and would like to help support its continued operation, donations are greatly appreciated. If you wish to donate via Bank Transfer or other options, please open a ticket.

Someone posted a thread today, who should CTB. That triggered some thoughts that I'm thinking out loud.

I noticed that older generations were much more resilient at handling emotional pain, while, the later generations are becoming more and more sensitive as the generations are progressing.

If I be really honest, my father has suffered more than me, but he never thought of CTB..i have witnessed what all he has suffered and how he has tackled them.

On the contrary, while what I have suffered is not less, I literally felt suffocated and that's what made me think of CTB. I was never depressed. Like i never had clinical depression until 2023. I was still thinking of CTB, because I had given up on life. But if I compare my suffering to that of my father, it's literally nothing.

So, I guess, the intention to CTB is connected with how mentally resilient we are.

May be, if school and the society could train kids to be mentally resilient and train them to tackle stress and trauma with ease. I think, the world and life may become easier to navigate.

For those who are reading this thread and are not thinking of ctb, I'll recommend you to work on getting mentally resilient through mental training, so that you can face life as it comes.

I have learnt one thing, if we have to survive in this world, we have to be dominant and a bit insensitive, and demand our rights and force the reality to bend to our will.
If we behave like a broken leaf flying with the wind, life can and will knock us down.

For those are wanting to CTB but don't really wanna die, I would request them to revisit their situation and take a step back and look at it from a bigger perspective. If their situation is worth more than their life? Is there anything that can be done to make their life better?

P.s. I'm in no way Pro-lifer. I'm just enabling the ones who want to live life to improve their situation instead of being forced to CTB. And, I respect everyone's situation and suffering.

P.s. 2. Check out my other articles, that will help you learn how to improve your life by training your mind

I appreciate your concern. Especially given my advanced age, though I feel there are many people younger than I am who may be feeling uncertain about life. Perhaps some might change their minds depending on the circumstances. Perhaps they might manage to survive and still find some pleasure in life. It is impossible to know about each individual.

That's actually true. Our conversation in the other thread also inspired me to post this thread. You are in an advanced age, i guess 20+ years senior to me, and you've better mental resilience than me and many people of my age and people younger than me. That makes it worth thinking, if we could have the capacity to face pain, I think we could reduce depression and may be the thought of giving up on life.
However, yes, everyone's situation is different. I just wrote this generic thought that may apply to some while it may not be applicable on others who literally are facing terrible life.. More like a dead end, no way out like situation .
