Benadryl is not a peaceful or reliable method for ending one's life.

Even in extremely high doses like the amount you're describing it rarely causes death. What it does cause is delirium, seizures, hallucinations, extreme confusion, heart arrhythmias, severe muscle spasms, urinary retention, and terrifying physical and mental distress. Many people who survive report the experience as traumatic, not sedating or gentle.

The vast majority of benadryl overdoses result in hospitalisation, intubation and restraint, long term complications and psychiatric holds.
In short it's more likely to leave you alive and in worse condition than to succeed.

Read this post about non-methods!

I used it once while being psychotics from other drugs like LSA and pregabalin and DXM all in large dose.
It was very painful being in ICU with japanese doctor who hates drug addict treating me like piece of shit and the feeling of shame was amplified, my whole body hurt while I hallucinated bugs. I asked for anti psychotics or benzo but they didn't give me anything. they just left me there until I was stable enough to walk home.

It probably won't kill you and it will be very painful, I'm pretty sure even cardio arrest won't hit you in once and it will be physically painful but you will literally hallucinate personally adjusted hellscape while your perception of time are non-existent. You might be there for eternity.

That much might kill you, but it will NOT be peaceful and if you live there is a good chance of permanent organ damage. It is not a recommended method and should be avoided.

Have you heard about the Benadryl challenge? It was a really dumb (and dangerous) TikTok trend that encouraged users to basically OD on this drug. Diphenhydramine causes a bad trip.

Please stick to safer methods.

Benadryl is not a reliable method. It has a chance, but not a high one. Also, from experience, the trip just kinda feels gross and I've heard many horrible stories in higher doses than I took. You will probably just have a bunch of seizures and have a really nasty trip where you can't distinguish reality from trip. Little known fact: Most seizures aren't really that bad for you. So you'll just feel horrible from seizing and benadryl and still be alive most likely. If anything take a dissociative (DXM, Ketamine, PCP) and jump.
I can also speak from experience with multiple od attempts... I'm still here clearly... I was consuming like 8-9 g acetaminophen (every day for 6-11 days) because it was mixed with the cold medicine I took for DXM. One of those days I did 12g and the final I did like 18. Those are the numbers that state you should recieve damage to organs. I went to the doctor a few days after that binge since I didn't die to see how close I came. Nothing. Not an ounce of damage. OD really is just a bad method unless you have something REALLY strong.

I thought for sure such a high dose would work. I have no other options. Can't purchase sn, no to hanging, don't own a firearm, I want to OD on something easily obtainable. I'm becoming desperate.

If this was a method, you could not buy bottles of 100 at almost any store.

There is the problem. Drugs that are easy to OD on are very difficult to obtain for that very reason (and a few others).

I wouldn't mess around with Benadryl. I once took a "recreational" dose at 500mg and had a nightmarish high. Had hallucinations and delusions alongside with weird dreams. Trying to OD on that crap will give you the most hellish exit.

I've tried with Benadryl. I'm not sure how many mg, but around 3 bottles. It, of course, didn't work. When I woke up, the world was spinning, I desperately needed to pee, and saw hallucinations. They weren't terrifying, just weird, like fish swimming through the floor or seeing emoticons drawn on the hospital walls. One thing I didn't forsee was how bad the pills tasted, going in and coming out because it caused me to vomit violently. Honestly, I don't think taking more would've gotten me to CBT. I would recommend a more reliable method if possible.

This is why I'm glad SaSu exists. I'm so glad there's a place people can go to discuss avoiding whatever this hell experience is

Little known fact: Most seizures aren't really that bad for you.
Seizures can have a Hellish recovery afterwards, though.

I have grand mal seizures in my sleep. I end up biting off the edges of my tongue, it bleeds for hours afterwards. My tongue was numb for a month once after a seizure. My back and ribs are in so much pain for weeks or even months afterwards--any movement, deep breathing, coughing is excruciating. My back will never be the same, I will never again have the flexibility or range of motion that I had before my first seizure.

The seizures may not kill you, but the aftermath is horrendous.

For sure. I've heard that experience from many people, or they compare it to running a marathon. I've never had one myself, but I am aware of the medical view on them. I'm sure you're aware, but I'll speak for the class here lol. The vast majority of the danger with seizures is really the situation you are in when they happen. Losing conciousness while drive, falling over and hitting your head, having a grand mal like this poster and you end up smashing your appendages into something around you. You will most likely feel like shit after you have it, regardless of if you hurt yourself or not.

Yeah, the upside of having seizures in my sleep is that I can't fall over and bust my head open.
