Well this is based upon the laws of logic (the law of the excluded middle), which are not empirical, but are laws of our intellect we are born with and through which we percieve and reconstruct our sense perceptions into reality and thus into nature; which means that the laws of nature actually originate within us and not nature itself. So it is deep, depending on how you look at it

Deep fried, that's how I look at it :blarg:

I really love potatoes. It's my favourite non-meat/dairy product. Mashed , fried , grilled , hashbrowns , with cream , crisps ... I just hope there are no Irish people here (sorry).

Well sweet potato is sweet potato . It is still a potato , linguistically speaking . It's part of the family . You don't call one of our members "abomination" ... You bring a knife to the kitchen , we bring a gun . You put one of our guys in the oven , we put one of yours in the morgue .. the Chicago way ! :blarg:

Green potatoes are best. Taste that sweet poison!
Is that a thing ? :shy: I honestly wasn't aware there are green potatoes .

Potatoes will often go green when they're not stored properly and they're exposed to light. This is due to formation of chlorophyll (which is found in all green plants), however the green colour is a useful indicator that levels of certain toxins that are harmful to humans, known as glycoalkaloids, may be increased.

Uneducated nigga , Im from the streets !

The avocado method is another one that could work for me. Someone would simply have to chase me to the edge of a cliff with a scoop of avocado and my SI would be overridden quite naturally.

Now that I think about this, this method would 99% work for me. Creative thinking!

So that's what we have come to . Killer avocados , suicidal cactus , disgraced sweet potatoes , and vicious kale .

Your next salad could be a serial killer .

I also imagine doing that salad with @Brick In The Wall guns , should save some chopping :haha::haha:

The joke was merely that I found it adorable that she attributed deep feelings to plants. And my cactus was indeed a GoodCactus and will by Effed by my passing because his inheritors are wholly incapable of taking care of plants. Sorry if anyone understood it the wrong way :shy:

The misunderstanding is that you read my post as attributing deep feelings to plants. I said they have a level of consciousness. I said they have goals and struggles, as all life does.

I intentionally kept the post brief, but I'll clarify just a bit further.

Plants are conscious, that is, aware, of where the things they need are, such as sun and nutrients, and conscious of things that would do them harm. These are no less chemical reactions than those humans experience with brains, nervous systems, glands and hormones, etc, simply at a lower level. Did you know some plant species actually battle each other for territories? This is a level of consciousness. This is competition. Some plants developed defenses so they would not be eaten. This is a response to violence against their lives.

All life has goals and struggles, including but not limited to surviving and thriving. Beneath all this is my thesis of the post that life is competitive and violent. The only deep feeling about that is mine, which I used the post to express in the form of a rant.

Hope that clears up the misunderstanding. It sucks that your plants will end up in less capable and caring hands. The photo wasn't clear so I couldn't see its condition, but I can imagine it thrives because of the care you give it.

I love haggis. Its like German Leberspätzle (liver noodles) but better. I could've stayed in Edinburgh for the rest of my life.

@Brick In The Wall then there's psychedelic bread to add to @Quarky00 's list of catchy food characters:

I know – it was contrived. I was trying to mock you a little, because you used the words "goals". goal-oriented behaviour is usually associated with intelligent life forms, not with plants, which only react to stimuli.

Yes, plants have a certain level of consciousness; but the difference between a plant and an ant will be similar to that between a plant and a rock. I don't think plants feel pain for example.

It was a cactus with a sad face trying to hang himself and it said GoodCactusEffed :-P
