I haven't had a drink in four years. This evening I have had most of a bottle of wine. Fuck it.

I think you may need my time out button, haha, OMG I hate drinking indoors but since this lock down my supermarket, alcohol order has gone 5 folds and I'm boozing so much more I'm still disciplined where I won't drink in the day but 9pm I want a drink and of course my insomnia keeps me a wake, woohoo.

There will be a major problem coming, people who thought they kicked there addictions committing suicide later i mean drinkers, and gamblers we are forced to stay in so we naturally need some excitement and these old vices pop up, and of course your mind says fuck it and you can handle it, lol
The next spin, it will pay out out, it's due a payout and I will be a winner, :haha: yes I also had a gambling problem in my younger days it dd pay out but not to me and the bastards always walked away, lol.

RIP everyone

@MartyByrde, I didn't want to derail that other thread, but it was your mom who told me you're typing naked in your parents' basement. She wanted me to pass on a message to you, but that's passive-aggressive and I don't like being used to act as a go-between, she should handle her own problems. Still, I think you should at least know she's talking shit about you. I'm actually kind of relieved that you asked, I don't have to carry this burden anymore.

Well, since @MartyByrde already doxxed himself on the real names thread, I don't think it's any secret who his sister is.

All this talk of alcohol just reminds me that I have none in my house. Coincidentally, I'm writing a travelogue for my Creative Writing course - which is an account of all the bars I went to in Bangalore. I wish I had my meds, would make working easier.

Hahaha @GoodPersonEffed

You put a smile on my lips with that meme. I am amused that you picked up on my little "flirt" with the French language. The truth is I have a crush on French, and I just love dropping sentences here or there, even if my interlocutor will think I am weird or won't appreciate them. I do it for me, because like most of my posts here, they are a dialogue with myself, more than anything.

Weird. Busy day. Feeling odd. Did I tell you I've always had ocd? It vanishes under extreme depression cus I don't care but come back when I'm doing better (lol great) which actually makes sense psychologically.
Drives me nuts though.
Imagine...today I scouted the field looking for stones for the rockery. Easy huh? Now imagine doing it with ocd, where every stone 'speaks' to you, some have a good feeling about them and some have a bad feeling. No reason why other than my brain neurochemistry.
Infuriating. Makes every easy job so much harder.

How you doing?

I read about your OCD in some other post, a long time ago. Does it relate to something specific or is it generalized?

Do you take any meds for it? The pills I am taking for mental exhaustion and depression are often prescribed for OCD as well (Zoloft).

My day has been allright, better than yesterday when my chronic pain acted up more than usual.

What is a rockery? (Other than a place for cool people who listen to rock music haha).

Loved your plants in the Gardening thread. Very nice! I am also working on my balcony right now. Spring is here, so everything needs to be cleaned, all the pots polished and arranged, new flowers need to be purchased. I want to start having my breakfasts on the balcony before the end of May - we'll see how much work my me/cfs will allow me to do.

@GoodPersonEffed

I wanted to find you a meme as well, but I think this is more worthy of your beautiful mind.

The ocd is generalised but goes through phases of relating to specific things. Like right now I have difficulty drawing the curtains. Have to do it several times and I'm never happy with rhe results.
I've tried medications previously. Prozac worked wonders to start with but failed. Everything else failed too and had the added bonus off fucking up my metabolism (or at least speeding up its decline).
But I do know what it's like not to care where you put the remote down or how you close a door. I remember how easy life was being like that compared to being ocd.

Get gardening! It's the new ss official past time!

A rockery is an arrangement of rocks that simulates a montainside environment with small pockets of soul and good drainage. It's the.best place to grow alpines and succulents.

Sorry to hear about your pain. The joys of chronic health conditions. :meh:

I feel zen just reading this:

Man, it sounds tough going through periods of ocd...

F**king life... chronic illness... oh, don't get me started!

Lol I'm not surprised it sounded zen. Soil not soul. I hate predictive text. I wish I could get it to just predict the long words and fuck off with everything else. Or just be a little better and stop turning but into bit everytime. In what universe is bit more common than but?

Is it a subtle force like an intuition or gut feeling? Or is it more like a compulsion to pick that rock, to the point where you feel you cant refuse? Reason I ask is I have similar tendencies and I never really put two and two together that I might've had OCD symptoms. Just strange urges to do something that I get as a gut feeling, which I usually indulge unless it's dangerous/harmful/wasteful/etc.

It's kind of both.
This may sound odd, but certain things 'speak' to me intuitively, like the right colour or design or shape. I instinctively know when something is going to be right and all the other stuff isn't, even though most peoples would say it's fine.
But also, certain random actions scream 'disaster!' at me for no reason and all of a sudden.
Like I'm going to pick up a stone and I'll get a massive intuitive 'no!' And if I do select it, then I get a horrific sense of certain impending doom that I cannot shake.
It's bloody horrible tbh. It's like dodging raindrops and if any of them hit you it's catastrophic.
Does any of that make any sense?
