An update on the OFCOM situation: As you know, censorship around the world has been ramping up at an alarming pace. OFCOM, the UK’s communications regulator, has singled out our community, demanding compliance with their Online Safety Act despite our minimal UK presence. This is a blatant overreach, and they have been sending letters pressuring us to comply with their censorship agenda.
Our platform is already blocked by many UK ISPs, yet they continue their attempts to stifle free speech. Standing up to this kind of regulatory overreach requires lots of resources to maintain our infrastructure and fight back against these unjust demands. If you value our community and want to support us during this time, we would greatly appreciate any and all donations.
It's a term used for web developers who know how to build both the user-facing interface (the 'front end') and the server-side segment (the 'back end'). Web applications are usually described as a user interface on top of an API giving access to server-side application logic, hence developers who know both parts know 'the full stack' of tools and methodologies required to create a web application.
The most important aspect of having a full-stack developer is that it allows companies to get one person to do the job of two people. The way both sides of a web application work are very different from each other, and until about 10 years ago, used very different languages and frameworks. Then server-side Javascript came along (in c. 2008 IIRC) and people were able to make an entire website with JS. And thus companies decided that yes, they want to use this chance to hire fewer people and overwork them.

I had a phone call today which is cool cuz no-one calls me. It was a very lovely sounding lass. Unfortunately, she wanted to help me get compensation for the car accident I had in the last five years that wasn't my fault.
I don't tend to have simple reactions. Part of me wanted to shout at her for clearly being part of a scam. Part of me (you can guess which part) wanted to talk to her because I'm lonesome and she sounded nice. Part of me felt sorry for her for just trying to earn some cash in these dark times, even though it was clearly dubious. Part of me wanted to string her along and taunt her, wasting her time in payback for wasting mine.
In the end I just put the phone down and wanted to cry.
For all that I don't want us to suffer, I'm starting to think that it's time for society to crumble, maybe it would be for the best.
Oh my landline ringer is turned off, I get a call from Poland everyday asking for the business owner and claiming to be BT Openreach. I field my calls on the mobile with an app that's pretty good but doesn't catch them all. I can blacklist numbers though.
I sometimes find it therapeutic. I do feel bad for the people calling, but if they have the gall to try and con me then TBH they deserve the foul abusive language that they get in return. And if they catch me on a bad day then there's nothing I can do about it really. All that harnessed anger has to come out somewhere.

Oh ya, I had a surprise visitor lastnight. I go into the downstairs bathroom and a snake was just chilling there on the floor. I picked him up and tossed him into the neighbor's yard lol.

Probably some sort of garden snake. He was a bit too bitey to be friends with. I was wearing thick leather gloves and he was biting the shit outa them.

So, I live in Philadelphia, and they have a major league team called the Phillies (dumb name, I know.). I follow this team out of boredom and because it's a nice distraction from my problems. They are one of the most losing franchises in sports, because they are one of the oldest, and have a history of bad personnel decisions. But this century has been somewhat kinder to them, thanks to a World Championship a decade ago, and signing one of the faces of the sport, Bryce Harper, to a long-term deal. But they have had difficulty sustaining success because of these horrible personnel decisions. I just watched them lose a must-win game, which happened to be the last game of the regular season, one that, if they had won, would put them in the playoffs and compete for a championship. They got shut out. That was the last game I will ever watch from my home team, given that I am killing myself very soon, certainly before they play again when the next regular season starts. It's fitting, given my life. Just some sentimental thoughts.

I used to have Mario 64 DS on the Ds and Mario 64 on an emulator on my tablet, but only beat the emulator one. I was watching different versions like could you beat the game with only tiny Mario or if all objects were coins or if all objects were trees etc.
Hi, I made a long post earlier and edited it to change the label since I got it wrong the first time. Now I can't seem to find it, is my post under moderation or something. I'm new so I'm just asking in case anyone knows.
I updated the internet browser on my phone and now the fucking thing barely works. Takes forever to do anything. Pages don't load, videos don't stream, gifs don't work... It's like being on dial-up in 1997.
How is this an upgrade???
Really pissed off about it.
Oh, yah... hi, guys and gals.
