So this morning at around 8am I was woken up by my dad who said the police were here and wanted to see me. I didn't believe him at first.

I got dressed and went downstairs, and there were two police officers at the front door.

I went outside, closed the door behind me and they said that they'd had an anonymous tipoff that I was planning to hurt myself.

They knew the date I'm planning to ctb on, they knew how I was going to do it (SN) and they even knew that I'd ordered the SN from Russia.

I denied everything, said I had no idea what they were talking about, literally answered no to every single question they asked.

Then they asked if I wanted them to call an ambulance so that I could talk to some people about what was going on, obviously I said no because fucking hell no lol

So they left, they only talked to me for about 5 minutes but my parents are now freaked out and on high alert.

Just wanted to remind everyone to be extremely careful what information they share on here. I've only ever told people my first name and the city that I'm in, nothing more than that.

Keep personal information private. Be aware that there are undercover pro-lifers on this forum who will try to stop you or "save" you. Even people you consider your friend could still be the one that calls the police on you. You might not be as lucky as I was that they just left.
How old are you? If you still live with your family it's obvios for me that you will have real problems in hide your intentions. Sometimes I think that some people here leads with ctb as a fuck game...

It sounds stressful all of this happening right now.

I agree with the police lying tactic. Do not believe a word that comes out of their mouths. Police can tell and claim all of the non-truths that they want to in order to try and coerce a person to say exactly what they need that person to say used for incriminating themselves! It is fine for them to be liers straight to your face, no problems there... some people do not know this though.

There is no telling if they knew a lot more than what they let on either? It could be these two particular officers did not actually want to be hassling and bothering you in your life? Maybe they had to respond per policy, but since you were answering all of their questions 'correctly'.. they were silently rooting for you inside and they left you alone. Or else, it was just that you did not incriminate yourself as being an immediate threat to harm yourself, or a threat to harm any other people at the time.. you gave the correct answers to all of their questions.

Just because a person says something online does not automatically make it true. Who is to say a person has not totally changed their mind about what they said or posted about, right? Nope, nope, nope, no sir, etc...

However, maybe you should rethink the fifteen days thing you just mentioned? The fifteen days timeframe is actually probably wrong and an incorrect timeframe, right? I would definitely change my mind on that if I were you, for obvious reasons.. if you are at all worried about not wanting to have any more inquisitive authority figures visiting you again... Like you said, be careful on here.

I'm sorry you went through that, a bunch of filthy dogs sticking their noses in places where they're not welcome. It's a shame that we have rats in the community who delight in just messing with people like this, and they wonder why some of us want to die.

Also, as I said before, I would edit out my name and city if I were you

@Futile, she did edit her post but the personal details still showing in your quote of them. You should edit that too - thanks.

@AJ95, please note that now that I know your first name and age, it's easy to guess your surname starts with J. If I were interested I bet I could pinpoint you without too much trouble. I wouldn't even have to be a police or IT expert.

Peeps, please don't give yourselves away too easily. Stay safe; wash your hands; wear a mask; if you're on your bike at night, wear white; and use screen names that aren't *very* easy to deduce things from. x

I was thinking of messaging them about the quote. But yeah, matching the data you said with a shipment in customs from Russia wouldn't be too hard.

Also drink water.

So I think it's time to throw my throughs in since I've had experience of talking to the police and being put under section 136. I couldn't hold my neves when talking to the police which got me sectioned so I'm proud that you held your ground. My experience are based from living in the uk. In my opinion you have brought attention to yourself, I feel the police and mental health probably have talked to each other in private. I would highly recommend you change the date of when your planning of going as they already know this and will be monitoring your behaviour. Mental health services might pop around soon too to check up and speak to you. They're a chance they have asked you parents to watch out for any sighs. Only mental health services can make the decision to section, my advice is lay low to calm the situation down.

I was thinking too that in her country it might be routine for customs to notify local police about SN packages.

And eat your spinach.

Further to this, it might sound silly but if you do use a VPN, also use an incognito window for this site. Cookies that you already have on-board your system hold your IP and location from previous sessions even if you're on a VPN right now. Incognito windows disable cookies along with addons etc. I also feel for AJ's sake that letting this thread die might be for the best considering the topic and publicity - but I don't want to speak for OP.

But I don't think they're watching the site. I don't even think it was someone from this site, since if it was the police would have had a lot more information.

My parents are fine with me being online lmao? I'm 24? I'm an adult? Also it's friday, they're both at work, I'm at home. I went to go see my psychiatrist, told her about it, mum picked me up and dropped me home. They're concerned but they obviously don't think an immediate risk, or they would do something.

What's off?

^there's your age.
So these incognito people now have your first name, gender, city, and age.
If they trawl back through everything you've posted they'd find more info too I bet.

This stuff makes me so on edge.

AND it's reasonable to assume that you were born in '95, but you're still 24, which means you must've been born either end of October, or Nov/Dec. Plus your initials AJ?

It is quite easy to work out who someone is if someone's dogged enough.

We all need to bear in mind that (until our esteemed admins give us more private sections) this whole forum (except the partners thread) is visible to anyone on the internet. I guess the chatroom is also "members only", but even so it's not like our little community is cozily tucked away from the eyes of whomever.

There is something about the op that wakes up the little man in my gut. Every time something feels off, it ties knots in my stomach. Brrr...

Maybe the op is earnest, but somehow I am not buying it. Call me cynical, if you will. But my little man rarely lets me down.

@XYZ, I'm charmed that when Little XYZ wakes up he doesn't let you down. AJ95's avatar seems aimed at arousing Little Guys - but I guess you didn't mean it that way. 8]

It troubles me too. Warning us all to "be careful on here" but insisting she doesn't think it was anyone here who turned her in, and all the while posting more and more personal information ... Error someplace.

On the other hand ... Does anyone else remember someone called Maisie Someone Fan, with a gif avatar very similar to this one? My unease may just be due to the avatar, which looks awfully snarky to me.

I had to check the user's avatar to see what it was, that's how much it had aroused my interest. But, I must add that I suffer from brain fog, so I tend to overlook the images in avatars as they are tiresome to me.

I'm sure to remember the catwalk girl now, though :pfff:

(By the way, "the little man" is a paraphrase of a quote from the clasic film noir, Double Indemnity. Such a great movie!)

Glad you got away! This is why I don't share any private info at all. It's sad to admit but you can't trust anybody, not even on here.
My ex-friend threatened to call the police more than once after I made the mistake of giving her my address—the only reason I'm free right now is that she forgot my house's number and I had deleted the message with the address.

I know theirs was on Discord, but...
Interesting information I just learned not too long ago: under certain conditions, there are actually APPs that can enable you to delete text messages from another person's phone in a mutual text.

Take a step back from the game of life for a moment and see it for what it is. Anonymity is a lie, everyone is monitored 24/7 they know what we fuckin dream about most likely. Everything we say we are held accountable unless the elite are on your side/looking out for you.
Also what a joke society is... You've got reckless 'gangsters' and extremists possessing grenades where people uninvolved in their causes get caught in the crossfire more so than members and they're raiding people for this shit. Nice spend of taxpayers money. Nice one police reading this... Hate me all you like for having a dig but realise you're the unwitting footsoldiers of networks of evil cabals causing us all to suffer. It breaks my heart 50% of you would risk your life for others in situations orchestrated by that cabal who also waste your time tar getting people here.

Yeah I saw your city, age, and initials. It's not rocket surgery to ID you. It should (again) serve as a cautionary example to everyone, particularly those in nanny states, to stop giving out personal information. The partners thread is the worst. I will give you huge kudos for how you handled the police interaction.

I had initially assumed the visit was the result of the SN shipment itself. However, the fact they took your word for it indicates it was a tip. This fact should serve as a reminder here for everyone.
