Two quotes that have helped me in the last two years or so (in different areas of my life) are:
"No man is your enemy, no man is your friend, every man is your teacher" ~ Florence Scovel. This has helped me to take disappointment in people and rationalize it.
and
"If a thing is worth doing, it is worth doing badly" ~ G.K. Chesterton. This has helped me have patience with myself.

A few songs you can check out:
Jacob Lee - Demons
Peter Raffoul - Fucked Up Together
Jack Kays - Outrun Myself

I don't have any movie or show recommendations, I pretty much just watch The Office and Superstore on repeat.

Wow, I m not sure how to answer. Ideally I would like it the way it used to be. We had so many traditions which started the day after Thanksgiving. The whole month leading up to Christmas was full of family, friends and activities. I come from a small town where everyone knew everyone and it had all the charm of small town Christmases. The way I feel right now, I'd like to avoid the whole thing. How about you? Where are you right now with everything?
That sounds wonderful :( I'm sure moments like those will come to you! I'm currently searching for jobs at the moment to persuade myself not to ctb! I'm getting a cockapoo puppy in two weeks so that's exciting!

Good luck on the job search! It can be hard and frustrating but don't let it get you down. Hopefully you will get just the right one you need. Congratulations on the puppy!🐾🐾🐾 That is so exciting! My dog means everything to me and has saved me more times than I can count! They will fill your life with such laughter!

after silently crying to music last night, my sleep was unusually good. i ate a piece of cake for breakfast while playing music for my sky chickens (cockatiels). i found out they would bop their head to coldplay which was funny.
