I do actually indeed consider myself highly lucky to have been so often in Japan anyhow.
Aokigahara has absolutely left a very deep impression on me, and I would love to see it again, in high hopes of absolute loneliness.

Considering that I fancied the idea of ctb in some lost woods where no one would or could ever find me (or at least very very much later),
I would love to ctb in Aokigahara to be honest.

I only struggle with the idea of "European Tourist found dead in Aokigahara" bullshit ._.
I also respect Japan and its population too much to do something that rude as to make them look bad in any way due to my stupidity ...
Honestly, I still fancy to ctb in Japan highly.
There are so many other places in Japan which I would rather consider though, due to their pure pristine beauty o.o

If I happen to be alive, and make it to Japan again next year, I will gladly this time take and share some real pictures of the place~

Ah of course, it would be made into a huge thing if foreigners are making the way there to ctb, at least local suicides there can be "swept under the rug" in a sense. Even a missing European person in Japan would be a pretty big thing, I'm guessing. I really respect that you put the thought into the people there and how it would portray the place, as tempting as it is!!

I would love to see any pictures you would have to share if you do have a future trip :-)
I'd love to see it all for myself but unfortunately I don't think it will happen!

You pretty much nailed it yes, I concur, that is exactly the point.

I will gladly remember that upon my next visit.

Is there a reason for that? (not to be too off topic here)
Japan is not as expensive as people like to believe... I mean I worked hard and long for my trips,
but it was worth it every time, even though I did not have to be that luxurious about it at all.

I would love if more people would allow their fascination with that amazing country,
and the Forest at Mt.Fuji to become reality.
Of course considering it is someone like you, who wouldn't roam around like all the tourists I met there,
with full gear trying to recreate some Blair With Project ._.'

I feel as if you would rather like me just feel calm and somewhat save and at peace there.
Do you see no chance of ever going to see the place yourself?

Life is too shitty and fucked to not do the very few tiny things people like us can enjoy in a weird way I reckon ._.

(I hope I am not getting too personal here)

Haha oh the Blair witch comment is hilarious I can picture it now lol :pfff:
Money would definitely be a factor, but I absolutely would have thought the trip would be expensive for me, even the flights alone (I'm in Ireland) but again, this is something I've never seriously looked into.
The main reasoning would be travelling such a distance alone, to a country I don't know, surrounded by people I don't know, my anxiety is screaming at the thoughts of it!! With a travel partner tho, the anxiety would be gone.
I envy people who are free spirited enough to even eat in a restaurant alone, I'd rather order a takeaway to my house and not have to be looked at like a weirdo sitting alone. (I imagine people would think that about me, that's not my opinion on others just to clarify!)
When you visited Japan did you do the trip totally alone? Would you travel alone often? I just don't know how to push past my barrier. Even walking down the street alone causes huge anxiety for me.

Yeah, absolutely looked liked that to be fair ._.

On the money and flights, I am in Europe as well,
the third time i flew over i paid about 260€ because I found an offer half a year earlier o.o

To be open and honest, my anxiety does not allow me to even breath outside often.
Traveling alone is the most anxious thing I could still imagine, and yet I did it.
My first time I traveled with my ex gf, and that went well since with other people I can drown in their presence and move along like a shadow.
Learning to be a ghost definitely helped me in my life, but it did not take away things like you mentioned; eating alone in a restaurant ? nah uh... never!

My visits to Japan have been very lonely, and very isolated.
I mostly did not talk to anyone, and moved around there as I do here. Like a ghost.
After being there 4 times I still could not even enjoy eating most of the foods I wanted to try, or visit all the places I wanted to,
due to my intense anxieties ._.

I used to only eat in my hotel late at night, after buying stuff from the convinient stores (seven eleven) or sometimes get stuff from the street food stands if there were no people.
Being a ghost works everywhere apparentely.

It's not easy whatsoever to do that, being like this, but it does work, I promise ._.

There is sadly no trick, or anything that would help "push past the barrier".
It took me half a lifetime to get out of my coffin I called flat, and it only worked because my depression and anxiety got so out of hand that it just didn't feel safe anymore either.
It just didn't matter anymore if I was on the out or inside, felt the same all the time.

You know, I've never heard anyone describe it as being someone's shadow but that's a perfect way to put it! I am exactly the same, when I am with company I use them as a shield almost, as long as someone is beside me people wont be looking at me cause they will only see them!!
The fact you feel the same as me with anxiety and still managed to travel like that alone is honestly amazing! As I said, I doubt I'll ever overcome it to do it!
You seem like a lovely person, I've enjoyed chatting with you here :-)

You know what, nevertheless you may overcome it or not, as long as you alllow yourself to live your remaining life the way it comforts you, nothing else really matters what so ever.

I often do not know if it is amazing or really sad, but sometimes that feels the same to me.
I am glad if I was able to give you the slightest bit of comfort here, even if we went off topic a lil ( more or less)

I feel the same way, thank you for the lovely chat, I am looking forward to read more from you sometime ~

Yeah I'd love to visit, preferably with one other. Getting lost there would be awful though.

Yeah, I'd imagine I would panic if I went too deep in alone and felt I was lost

I'm not superstitious but I think I would feel pretty unnerved going in there. Like, I'd probably stumble upon a dead body and traumatize myself, y'know?

On the topic of the suicide forest, why are people upset at logan paul for recording there? He did nothing wrong.

They felt that he was being insensitive and exploiting someone's death for views. And that with a younger audience this was inappropriate. I'm sure no one would have cared if he hadn't shared the footage containing the body in the background. I guess a lot of people felt he should have edited it out. This is just what I've gathered from reading comments and articles on the incident.

Edit: Oh yeah, he and his friends reacted in a joking manner upon discovering the corpse. Including Logan's banter with someone saying "he doesn't feel good" in regards to seeing the corpse.

I think overall the lack of maturity in his video was received as tasteless as many people find suicide to be a serious topic. I expected no different from Logan. Immaturity is his brand. This is why the bulk of his fan base are children.

He continued making videos after that drama including himself tasing a dead rat.

His insensitive attitude towards it was the problem

I never saw an issue with it but to each their own
Well personally if it was me hanging in the tree, or my loved one, the last thing I'd want is an idiot with a camera making stupid jokes and laughing with his friends around me and uploading it to a platform with children. The filming wouldn't have bothered me if he handled it better, that's all :-)

Hi. I just created a thread about the suicide forest and noticed yours as well. Would love to hear if you have any other thoughts about the forest or the movie "The Sea of Trees" if you've seen it. Thanks.

There are vast wilderness aress in the USA that people disappear in. In fact you might be interested in doing a search about people who disappear in the national parks without a trace. Many do.

So, I know it's a random topic, but tonight I was watching a couple of YouTube videos about Japans "Suicide Forest", personally I've always felt drawn to it, it's a place I'd love to visit (is that weird?) I don't know about ending my life there tho, I think I'd rather be in my bedroom.. but what do you guys think? Has anyone been there before? Is it a place you'd like to go to or would you like to end your life there?
Sorry if this is a dumb post, I'm just so interested in this place..
I saw a movie about it. It does interest me I'm not going to lie. I want to know if this strange feelings comes over you and forces you to kill yourself. Like if this place has some weird sort of negative energy. But no I wouldn't want to die there. I am going die in my bed.

Yes that's what I wonder too! Would it actually draw me in like people say? Or would it just feel like a sad place, but not have the draw yano?

I imagine they say it draws you in because of the solitude and silence and general atmosphere, and not because it's some dark place that makes you kill yourself. It's also apparently easy to get lost if you stray from the trails.

I would love to hang myself in a Forest. I live next to one but it's hard to find a good tree. Not a lot of them I can use to hang myself with. Luckily, because of that my attempts have failed and I have been given an opportunity to reflect on myself, but my time will be coming soon.
