Any comic book drawer here ?

I don't know if it's the right place to post this thread, but I'd like to relate my story in a comic book (as a will for my family after my death). I could use AI easily, but AI is already killing authors. I have this idea in my mind since I heard about a french school teacher who wrote a comic about her life before her suicide last year (she was victim of homophobia).

If any comic book drawer is on this forum, do you have an idea how much could it cost ? I just have enough money for my VAD if I'm eligible but I still could sell my records collection if it's very expensive (I have no idea how much it costs). I'd just like to leave a mark on this earth (nothing to do with selfish things - just to accomplish something useful one last time). I use to draw when I was younger, but I'm not talented and my health issues make it impossible. Thanks.

I have an idea, you can outsource it to an artist in a 3rd world country. Ask them for their portfolio and if it looks good, you can negotiate the price with them. Outsourcing to 3rd world country will help you get it done for less cost to you

It's a very good idea I'd like to give some work to a human drawer. I don't hate AI (I use it everyday), but if it can help a young artist who needs some money, I'll be glad to help him/her.

Yeah, that'll actually encourage the artist in life.
I really appreciate your thinking. It's very noble. You consider community in your life as well. Not many people think from that perspective

As a kid I used to draw comic book characters. This used to be my pass time. Then came computers. Then I lost touch with pen , paper and anything to do with writing and drawing!

He he. I don't think apart from signatures we use pen and paper anymore. Who knew one day this would become irrelevant!

So true they made us practice writing cursive and all. Only to use thumbs on a glass screen

Same for me except I've always had an awful handwriting so I don't really see the difference lol

Although you've been a good artist. I have been just an average artist who could draw neat diagrams in biology files in school

I wish I was a good artist but I just painted some mediocre things ! I tried to make some little sculptures but they were also mediocre ! But it doesn't matter. I just want peace.
