Suicide by Taliban

Just another stupid hypo, a take on a previous post on suicide by adventure.

I suspect we can all pretty much agree the Taliban are jerks. If you don't agree, this thread isn't for you.

So, what if suicidal/terminal folks decided to travel to Afghanistan, find an AK (cheaper than N), and take out as many Taliban militants as possible one ctb at a time? You'd have to figure, pretty soon no medieval goons with guns running things, right? And the irony of suicidal attacks against them would be a form of poetic justice.

If I wasn't such a coward, I might consider it.

But I can see that for someone who is A. a good shooter B. crazy enough and C. very determined...that would actually be worth a thought.

Given this is a pure hypothetical, I'm assuming anyone going would be determined to die in a gunfight and not be taken alive. If one was suicidal/terminal, there would be no point to surrender.

Depends on your perspective, but you must not see many threads here.1, this idea is so far-fetched that it's obviously more fantasy than serious discussion. 2, compared to other methods discussed here that would recruit or even traumatize the completely innocent for ctb (train, traffic, suicide by cop), I'd say this one is not too bad. May even see some greater value to each (purely hypothetical) ctb. It's nice to imagine my death could have a larger positive impact than just ending my suffering.

man is making some good points. you don't wanna end up like on those guys on bestgore.. then again, that kind of suicide would at least be purposeful/sacrificial, unlike the 'standard' way people choose. it'd be like an opposite of suicide bombing, kinda.
