Usual lurker here but since I have no one else in my life who cares here I will vent
I began getting sick several years ago and after long being misdiagnosed as anxiety/thyroid issues and whatever else it was discovered that I just suddenly became allergic to a LOT of things. That's the short version.
But yeah anyway those weeds and stuff, I am severely allergic to it now, like I carry an EpiPen serious. It is starting to poke its head out and I am DYING. Zyrtec every day, 2 sprays astepro a day, one spray Flonase a day and it is all doing NOTHING holy crap I can barely breathe.
So a while back doc offered me some allergy shots. Of course they take a few years to work really good. So I keep putting it off and eventually earlier this year forgetting it was even offered. This week is suddenly knocking me out I have no idea how I'm going to get through this I'm not even going outside I am still so uncomfortable so I go back to the doc, and I'm like "okay I'm ready I know I should've done this last year but I'm ready now give me the allergy shots" and you know what??? If it's been more than 18 months since your last allergy test they have to test you AGAIN before you can do the shots, because allergies change. I get it. But you know what else? You have to be completely off antihistamines for at least an entire week before having the test. I can't be off them now I will have an asthma attack and end up in hospital.
I AM SO ANGRY WITH MY PAST SELF. I know this is a problem I created but if I knew there was a timeout on getting the shots I just would have taken them. Lesson learned.
But yeah allergies suck.
