Help So, how are they going to identify the body?

I heard that when your body is discovered, the police contact whatever family member they can find. This family member then has to go and identify the body... I really don't want them to have to see my head blasted off. My death will be sad enough, so why should they have to see that?

Unless, is there a way I can identify myself when I am dead?

If not, then can I demand a specific person to identify me?

I would not care if, for example, my father had to see me because I don't care if it truamatizes him. I'm heartless for that but I don't care.

blasting your head off might increase the chances of police getting your family to ID you. If you want to avoid that then make sure you are very easily identifiable and lay out all you IDs in plain view.

You can't demand anything… you'll be dead. The best you can do is write who you want to identify you in your note, and hope that they honor that. If your parents live far away from each other, I'd CTB somewhere closer to where your dad lives, so you'll end up in a morgue that will take longer for your mother to get to. For myself, I have a small tattoo and a small, unique birthmark, so I'm hoping they can just make a positive identification with those, and that they'll be spared from seeing my face. I'll write that in my note, but they will not be obligated to do what I ask.
