Just talk to them about the reasonings why you wanna go. If they react bad to that, then they're not exactly gonna react well to you actually wanting to die.I guess nothing good would come of it but I just thought they would like to know.
Unless they're sociopathic, narcissists they are not going to be okay with you having suicidal intentions. If you have any desire for recovery or are uncertain about whether you really want to ctb it might be worth talking to them about your thoughts if you think they'll be supportive. What are your reasons for ctb if you don't mind me asking?I guess nothing good would come of it but I just thought they would like to know.
If your mind is made up then that's entirely your choice but if you're thinking of discussing your plans with your family it kind of sounds like you might be hesitant. I hope I don't sound patronising but have you tried mental health treatment? I'm aware it's very difficult to access decent therapy at least where I am in the UK.Struggling with mental health dont fit in to this world so I would rather just go
Treatment doesn't always have to involve pills. When I was younger I had suicidal depression but getting the right therapy greatly helped me and I was relatively happy for several years after. My reasons for ctb now are irreversible neurological symptoms but I'm not in a position to be telling anyone what they should or shouldn't do. I'm just letting op know that things can be improved in some circumstances.Do not under any circumstances accept "help" from the mental health industry. It'll make everything worse. You will become a guinea pig for medication.
Ever look at mental health services from say, the 1920s? Those people got "help" too. In s hundred years, people will look at our mental health services the same way we look at asylums of old today.
You're right, it doesn't have to involve pills. Just my own experience that made me think this way. When I got into therapy for suicidal thoughts, they pumped me full of all kinds of pills. Misdiagnosed me too. Personally have no faith in mental health services anymore, but if you or others do, can't say anything but good for you, and I don't mean that in a bad way.Treatment doesn't always have to involve pills. I've had plenty of terrible experiences with meds too, in fact I'm planning to ctb now because of the consequences prescription stimulants and benzos have had for me. At least though the only way they can force medication on you is if you get involuntarily sectioned and telling your family you're planning on ending it is one way of making this happen. You're right, it doesn't have to involve pills. do not tell anyone you want to ctb and you cant just vanish eitherWhat about if I don't want the help and just want to ctb
Personally, I think it's best to let them know. You don't have to do it in person, just send an email or write a letter to them, wait for their initial shock to wear down, and confront them when they're calmerShould I tell my family and friends that I want to ctb if so how should I tell them all?
You asked for opinions, I only shared mine. Even if you aren't looking for help, it would be good to tell your loved ones of your plans, at least the ones you think would want to know. What about if I don't want the help and just want to ctb
