• Hey Guest,

We wanted to share a quick update with the community.

Our public expense ledger is now live, allowing anyone to see how donations are used to support the ongoing operation of the site.

Over the past year, increased regulatory pressure in multiple regions like UK OFCOM and Australia's eSafety has led to higher operational costs, including infrastructure, security, and the need to work with more specialized service providers to keep the site online and stable.

If you value the community and would like to help support its continued operation, donations are greatly appreciated. If you wish to donate via Bank Transfer or other options, please open a ticket.

Title explains it all, but I attempted suicide on Wednesday by taking a bottle of hydroxyzine. Didnt work (obv, but I also didn't even get good sleep) so I decided to just tell my therapist on Monday. Is this the right thing to do? Or should I keep it hidden? I'm very likely to go to the psych ward but I mean I can't end it so want to recover for the mean time.

Also didn't know if this should go into the suicide or recovery section, I can change if it's a problem, mods.

I'm the same way. I survive everything so a suicide attempt would be pointless. So I have no choice but to be well.

Definitely understand this, I was in a similar situation just last weekend even. If you trust your therapist and are accepting of the possibility of getting ward'd (which isn't INHERENTLY gonna be awful, it could actually help, you never know), then I'd say telling them is the right thing to do and to go for it. Recovery is incredibly hard and professional help can be unreliable, but I do think it's worth it to try, even just on the off chance things could successfully get better. Exhaust all options, or whatever they say. I'm wishing you the best, good luck!

I feel like voluntarily admitting yourself would be better than getting involuntarily admitted by telling your therapist. At least if you voluntarily admitted, you have the option to leave if you decide you don't want to be there.

I can attest to this. Involuntary admission usually involves police and EMS showing up and causing a scene. Ask me how I know. 🙄

Last time I was admitted they just asked I arrive at a certain time and my parents took me there, I didn't deal with police or EMS, I did my first time however.
