So I'm miserable. I hate my job. I want to die. Should I move to Hawaii or California or some other beautiful place and make one last ditch effort to heal and save my life. I would quit my job. But I'm married to a wife who makes good money. I also have plenty of money to float this for probably 6 months.
Or should I just fucking CTB? What would you do? In my estimation I'll still be miserable no matter where I am. Severe anxiety and severe depression. Not to mention I got off Prozac, Klonopin and Adderall all this year

I was in Hawai'i 4 times in 2019, and I am going to move to Hawai'i myself because of my chronic pain and if it gets worse than ctb. I LOVE Hawai'i, and the north shore of Ohau is FANTASTIC! Move then ctb if needed, is what I would do and I am going to do for myself.Love and caring and wishing you the best decisions possible.

I fully support this but you should consider moving somewhere beautiful and cheap like Latin America, Portugal, Spain or Greece. Also in Latin America you got potential access to N. Obviously you gotta learn Spanish but honestly google translate is marvelous.

Is there sufficient jobs in Hawaii for one to just decide to move there? I feel like we'd all be in Hawaii if we could lol

Excellent question! From what i saw precovid 19, was that there were jobs BUT with the cost of living, generally not enough to cover ones monthly living costs. The one thing, and maybe it is a duh, that shocked me was the cost of rent. Food and other daily items I thought were on par with the USA mainland, BUT rent was another matter. Love to all and great questions, thoughts and ideas is what makes all of us such GREAT global family members!

I love Hawaii. But COVID continues to fuck with the ability to go much of anywhere. Fuck 2020

I'm fairly good with Spanish. Problem is I would be leaving behind the wife and kids for that time period. Oh well, if I CTB I'll be leaving them behind permanently

It has the highest unemployment rate of all the states. It's insanely expensive since everything food gasoline and cars have to be transported in. It's a huge ocean and a long way to ship things.
Living near the ocean costs a lot usually. Florida has some less expensive and beautiful places. If you are able to
you could try it. Or at least take a nice long vacation.

As far as moving yeah it doesn't matter it's a bit nice change of scenery but it actually adds more anxiety.

I moved to Mexico for the same reason and I am way way more depressed now and have active plan to CTB. I've lived in over 10 beautiful countries. It doesn't matter. Wherever you are, there you are. It applies even more when you're away.

Yep I'm pretty sure you're right. My fucked up mind will follow me from mountain to sea. Why waste the effort I guess. If only it was so easy to solve mental agony

You will give yourself a headache just moving at all, it's a pain in the ass. The least you could do though is just get on a plane and visit somewhere nice. Even just 2 or 3 days to either clear your head, see something new or relax. You deserve a break.

A benefit of moving to Hawaii instead of somewhere in South America is your family has a better chance of being able to move and live with you in the future, if it ends up being the right decision for you and them. Though I'm sure South America is also a good option for the cheaper cost of living.

I would honestly try moving first. Chances are things would follow you, but I'm all for trying everything before
