Discussion Should I make amends with my enemies before going?

A big part as to why plan to leave is because my HS reputation has been tainted so bad by an ex friend and has caused me to lose a lot of people I cared about. Idk if I should attempt to make amends with them in my final days or not. Obviously I won't tell them I plan to ctb because I think thats a shitty guilt tripping thing to do, but I plan to just ask them some simple questions about their perception of me and try to address any false narratives before bidding them farewell.

I know they're likely to not truly believe anything I say because why would they? To them i'm this creepy and strange guy so obviously I'd try to say I'm not, but I hope my suicide will show that I am seriously hurt by these lies on my name. Such a drastic measure is really the only thing I can do short of getting killed by someone else to sort of "restore" my reputation.

Why do you care about your reputation, you'll be dead anyways and sooner or later they will be dead too and nobody will care about either

I get what you're saying but tbh its easier said than done. Ik high school is just high school, but its really all I have right now man. The only friends other than my small circle are weed, dxm, and heroin. My main problem is that I shouldn't be dealing with this in the first place at all and I think my life would be so much better if all of this hadn't happened

Apologies in advance if this sounds harsh, but why do you care what they think? If making amends would give you more closure then go for it, it's not my place to tell you what to do or what not to do. But I'm curious, what kind of answers are you expecting them to give you? If they give you answers that you weren't expecting, would you have been better off not talking to them in the first place?

I would personally see it as best to just leave it and forget about them especially if you are soon to be gone. But after all, only you can decide, it's a personal decision.
