Alright after months of thinking about it I've finally come up with a plan. I think. I'm posting this to make sure there's no faults.
- Tell my family I'm spending the night at a friends house so my disappearance won't seem out of place
- Take a flight to Paris [about 7 hours]
- Buy sleeping pills & weights
- Spend part of my time doing touristy stuff to distract myself
- Head back to my hotel about an hour and a half before I intend to commit
- Change into a mostly black outfit so I'm not as noticeable in the dark & pack a backpack
- Take the pills and send my notes online, once I start getting tired, leave the hotel
- Head for the Seine, look for a dark area with few people around (this is all after the boat tours would be closed)
- Once the pills have me tired enough that I think they could leave me unconscious while drowning, put the weights in my sweater and get in the water
If they don't knock me out I'll do it anyway but drowning is definitely one of the more painful ways to go so I'd prefer to be unconscious through it. How high is the risk they wouldn't be able to leave me unconscious through it?
I doubt anyone would stop me once I was in the water. You can't see the bottom of the Seine, especially not at night, and tons of dead bodies get found in it all the time. Mostly murder victims and accidental drownings. If people can do it accidentally without being noticed I should be able to do it on purpose. So it being a tourist attraction isn't too much of a concern to me. Not to mention by the time I intend to do it most tourists will either be back at their hotels or probably too drunk and/or tired to notice or care. And somehow I doubt many locals would be going on middle of the night strolls by the river.
My primary concern is about the pills and if they could knock me out or not. I don't want to be conscious when it happens.
But if there's anything else I'm not taking into consideration that I should be: Please let me know.
