hi, I use manila rope with a cloth around it, and im on my knees for my partial. As part of my testing, I time how long it takes before I start to go out. For me it takes like 20-30 seconds for that pins and needles and super dizzy feeling to come in, but i've read sources where that should be happening in 5-10 seconds. Do you think 20-30 seconds is too long and somethings wrong with my setup, or it should be fairly safe to go through? Thank youu

Are you forcing your head down, or are you just relaxing your body?

just relaxing my body yeah
It might help to put force into it until you pass out. I've also just relaxed my body when I've tried partial, and have never gotten to the point of passing out even after 25 seconds. So I imagine it would go faster if you apply some force, which is what I'm planning to try next. It would be good if someone else could weigh in on this, though.

If you do it properly you should pass out within 10-15 seconds, as I understand it.

Do you use a simple slipknot? Did you require any fix for frictionless tightening of the noose?

I tried making a simple slipknot but since im using manila, it wasnt working, kept slipping. So instead I tied a non-slip loop knot, like this one:

If I understood your question correctly, then no, the noose doesn't get smaller once pressure is applied. The noose stays the same size and the knot tightens. Are you saying I should find a way to make the noose tighten so I could induce strangulation as well?
Thanks!

Yes, from what I've gathered for partial hanging slipknot is the way to do it. With slipknot the noose will contract to block out your cartoid arteries

I wouldn've thought the noose would block out your windpipe too? Very painful and uncomfortable compared to the carotid arteries I'm told.

I think that is the hangman knot. Slipknot can tighten to press your arteries without affecting windpipe
