When you go back as far as you can go in your mind, to your earliest memory, how old were you? I sometimes wonder how rare my situation is, where my memories don't start until about age 10.
My earliest memory was breaking one of my toys when I was 3 years old or something, and bawling my fucking eyes out. Up to that point it was one of the worst days of my life.
Oh how little did I know that later down the line, a broken toy would be the least of my concerns...

I witnessed my father and his brother fighting, screaming, throwing furniture. Legitimately trying to kill each other. Dad eventually grabbed me and ran out of the apartment. I don't remember where we went, I just remember worrying I'd never see Mom again [she was at work and this was long before cell phones were common].

I hardly remember much but I vaguely remember what it was like being in a pushchair and putting something like toys either side of me on it so I would assume that happened before the age of 2 but I can't be certain of it. I wish I could be put in a pushchair like a baby or toddler again to feel looked aftered and cared for.

I remember standing in diapers with a hammer in an abandoned house we moved out of, and I was planning to hammer the floor. I also remember my parents fighting a lot. That was around 3-4 because my mom left when I was 4.
My earliest memory is the day my youngest sister was born. I was 45 months old. I mainly just remember staying at my grandparents' house while my parents were at the hospital. At one point they took me over there to see my sister but my mom and dad were arguing over something as usual. I think this is also the first time I had ice cream or at least it's my earliest memory eating it.

being pushed around in a stroller in a museum, i saw a penguin mannequin. or maybe it was being at the back of the bus on the way to the museum with the rest of my family, in a stroller.
Most likely I was 2 or 3. I didn't realise the enormity of it either. Climbing the blue carpetted stairs with a drink in a beaker for my Mum. She was dying of cancer. F*ck life eh?

Not sure about this one, it's like I see photos but not sure it I remember them happening. But my sister is 5 years younger than me, and I remember trying to lift her from a bath when she slipped and broke a tooth. I must've been already 6 or so if she had baby teeth. Before this I'm not sure of actual memories, I do see things but cannot say how old I was. So, I'm going with 5-7.
When I was 3 or 4 years old, being picked up by my great grandfather from the train station and driven to his old homestead right at the edge of a forest. It was so quiet and remote there that they would often have deer coming to their window and asking for food (sadly I was never lucky enough to witness it myself). Some of my fondest memories are from that place.
Don't remember exactly how old I was but my earliest memory is getting into a car crash. Rear ended this huge 'fuck you' pickup truck and our car actually went under the truck. It was just me and my mom in the car and we weren't hurt. That was probably some real shit for me back then.
Another early memory was when I got severely burned as a kid. Basically I was with my babysitter and she was making mac and cheese. She asked me to get milk out of the fridge as she was holding the pot of hot water. I turned around, bumped into her and boiling water came down on my shoulder and chest. The babysitter was too scared to tell my mom about what happened so it took a couple hours until I was brought to the hospital. I still got my mac and cheese though :) There's still a scar from the burn on my shoulder...
I vividly remember sitting on the couch, a blanket wrapped around me as I watched cartoons on TV, eating my mac and cheese and crying at the same time while the babysitter was presumably losing her shit lol.
My first memory was me around 2-3 years old, licking the sugar cubes at the coffee table at the church my family went to and putting them back in the container. I was a horrible kid.
The earliest memory I have I was 5 or 6 and started a fire at home and the fire dept had to come and out it out.
I also remember a time when my mom would walk me some place, and drop me off. I think it was a kids daycare center. I don't remember how old I was then.
Around 4-5 and i clearly remember it to this day because i was playing resident evil 3 on my ps1, i saw the first zombie and i started crying, ripped the tv cords out and ran to my mom, had nightmares for years after that
My earliest memories are of my grandfather, truly fond memories. My family was surprised when I told them certain things in detail because he died when I was 3.
oooo~ very neat question! ^_^ I looove learning about people's earliest memories! :D mine is 2 and 8 months! >:3 it would've been neater if you had split the categories with specific ones for 2, 3, 4, and 5 tho! :)
