Tip to avoid pain: don't do it.

May I ask what drove you to this point?

I don't know if this is super helpful of a reply. I'm not saying you have to encourage the act but maybe don't be dismissive of the desire to.

I would never do it because its violent, painful and traumatic for the train driver.

Don't have any tips :/ (or I would've already done it haha). Just wanted to comment and encourage you to research a little more before acting on anything. Last thing you want (or at least I'd want) is a botched attempt.

Didn't try to be dismissive I'm sorry if it came out that way. Really didn't mean to.

I'd like to think you didn't mean it this way but your comment does induce a bit of guilt and that isn't a helpful response for the situation

I commented because in my country I saw a train driver who killed a suicidal man and this man was in his 50s, he was deeply traumatized, cried a lot and said that he will never drive train again. I am not stopping anyone from ctb, I am just saying there are other methods that wont traumatize anyone, and won't leave a gory body. Also there is the possibility of the person who is attempting to be left mangled and in 100x times worse condition than before.

your method is pretty much the same as mine, i'm also planning to go out by train eventually. the way i wanna do it is by decapitation. putting my neck on the tracks. but as people said above, you'll traumatize the train driver on the way out. not to mention the passengers might see your body. and depending on the impact from the train it might leave your body all mangled. so you'd have to be pretty sure you wanna take this route despite all the damage you'd cause.

Not sure if you care about legacy or anything but just in case, my friend ctb by jumping in front of a truck, and that single final act pretty much destroyed anything good anyone had to say about the rest of his life at his funeral. I don't think a train would be much different. I would say it is viewed something similar to kidnapping and torturing someone right before you die so they are traumatised from it after you're gone. Most methods don't have that stigma.

My paternal grandma ctb this way. Nearly 30 odd years later, it still makes my dad teary eyed till this day, especially on the anniversary. I've considered doing it this way. But it's bad enough me ending my life, I don't want my old man (as strained as our relationship has been) to see me end it the same way. Like others have said, there's also the impact on the conductor. Although someone will have to find you anyway and likely be traumatized regardless. I'd rather the police or the fire dept find my body, they're somewhat trained at least and it's somewhat to be expected on the job.

its unreliable and It may traumatise many people, and the process will not be good...if you don't mind please reconsider it and there may be more peaceful ways to do this.

This ^
My experience was with a delivery truck, and obviously did not work out the way I planned, but more importantly, it convinced me not to harm others in my haste to escape my misery. I now live in New York, and the motormen for the subway here are traumatised by these events, whether it's an accident or premeditated.
Your life, your choice, but I do not want to cause any more wreckage, literal, as well as emotional, or at least minimise my impact (no pun intended).
This site has lots of resources, including detailed didn't/doesn't work info.
I wish you luck on your path to peace.

I understand the thought behind it and for that reason I myself am not choosing this method but I was just sharing how it may be received. Maybe worded differently it would feel like less of an attack.

That's a big issue with text, it's hard to gage tone. However, (and I say this lovingly), regardless of intention I think this is one of those things that should go without saying. Again, I'm just sharing my perspective and how I received it and (as an example) I just know if I'm asking for a light for my cig I dont want the response to be someone telling me I just shouldnt be smoking. OP may not have felt the same. All love though.

I do see how it could be received as dry humor

I often think about CTBing this way. In front of a relatively fast intercity train passing through a local commuter station. I have some gripes with this Corporation from trying to get hired by them several times with no luck, and the results of some litigation involving them so part of me would love to make them a victim. When I'm in a really bad place I consider doing it in a place to cause maximum disruption during rush hour.

Any method of self-deletion is going to involve some type of pain. A fucking train? Painless? Unless you shoot yourself before you lay on the track, that shit's going to hurt, bro. You're being ran over by a fucking train! What part of that gives you any idea of "painless?" Not trying to discourage you or downplay your method. However, if you're asking about a painless way to experience that, then you might not really want to do it. Maybe rethink?

My stepdad was a train conductor and you really need to think about the lives of those who will be unknowingly contributing to your death. Besides the "they'll be witnesses" aspect - there can be a accident/derailment. My stepdad had 5 herniated disks and was out of work for a year after an incident. He's never been the same.

it's def not painless, and its something i wont try personally as after seeing video of people surviving it even if they lost limbs or worse. it will only not be as painful if it hits you head first probably, as you'll be knocked out very fast and your brain may not have time to process the pain. i wouldnt want to scare the driver for life too. i dont mean to guilt trip or anything from sharing that tho, but its a reality that must be thought about. i also followed this one girl i felt really bad for on tiktok before she was banned, she tried that method and lived but lost her arm, and has now been in a psych ward for years
