I don't doubt that obsessive-compulsive disorder is an entity that enters the brain of those who suffer from this problem. Simply put, you're compelled by your brain to do things that are pointless and don't add anything; thoughts only appear to harm. I just bought the game Dying Light 2, and I can't play it because of the compulsions; I've been trying to finish the story for a long time, but I always restart the game because of the compulsion. I just wish I could be free from it :(
