Hey guys, I am new here. I was wondering if anyone else's nudes or sex tapes have been shared, mine just were and if it gets out it will ruin my life and there will be nothing I can do. I am in full-on panic mode, It is the first time I have felt in a while tbh.

"Revenge porn" is a misdemeanor or worse. Also, there a lot of low cost/free legal clinics that would absolutely talk to you and ease your fears about this. I would try ro find one in your state and contact them asap. Don't dismiss the clinic if this isn't their specialty, they might be able to point you in the right direction. Just because his mom is a lawyer doesn't mean she would be a good defense lawyer for him.

Hot take butttttt, the reddit legal advice sub is a hot mess. Different states have WILDLY different laws. Lawyers can get in BIG trouble giving out bad advice. No good lawyer would post there imo.

If the photos are posted online you can request that Google and other search engines remove them from search results. However I understand that you want to prevent that in the first place, of course. Talking to your ex's mother sounds a good idea as she might talk to her son and make him understand the legal consequences if he does share them. Or perhaps a different lawyer will give you a free half-hour consultation and be able to tell you your next steps.

tbh this comment is pretty off topic and triggering. I do not see how it helps someone who is worried for their safety and well being. I understand your anger I'd recommend reading about toxic masculinity a little and being critical of some of your own beliefs. There is A LOT to unpack here and I hope you find ways to do that and heal. Pain can be expressed in kinder ways.
