• Hey Guest,

We wanted to share a quick update with the community.

Our public expense ledger is now live, allowing anyone to see how donations are used to support the ongoing operation of the site.

Over the past year, increased regulatory pressure in multiple regions like UK OFCOM and Australia's eSafety has led to higher operational costs, including infrastructure, security, and the need to work with more specialized service providers to keep the site online and stable.

If you value the community and would like to help support its continued operation, donations are greatly appreciated. If you wish to donate via Bank Transfer or other options, please open a ticket.

Plus, would you have to pay for them?

The thing I'm most worried about, like probably many of you, is a crackdown on assisted suicide methods (or any suicide methods)

Not to get too depressing, but the reason for that being once all good methods of suicide are gone, we will have a rather hard time trying to plead anything

That being said, I had an unpleasant experience trying to partially hang myself and now am very "shy" to that idea and definitely wouldn't want to recommend it to loved ones (I'm not ruling out that it is very possibly less painful to some people but to me it was extremely unpleasant and I didn't enjoy it and I'm afraid of how bad it could have gotten)

As someone that owns more than one printer it would be basically 100% impractical to make one yourself. That looks to be approaching a very long time to make just one. It looks to be only for show and proof of concept that anything else.

Yikes because I sometines worry these days if "proof of concept" devices often never actually come about

Speaking of which, do you think the debreather thing Nitzsche advocates will actually come about?

Whether in 7 days or whenever

Depressing

Could you 3D print any painless suicide device at the moment?

It's fine if you don't want to disclose that to me

That website is offline right now but I bet there is some adapters that could be printable. Really a printer is just a special tool. Too many people think they should print everything but really it is great at making bits. Something like a orange juice container with that soda stuff with some hoses with duct tape would work so much better than an elaborate solution. The valve might be too complex to diy.
