My friend won't stop asking about what SS is. What should I tell him?

I had to cut him off from my life after a point because I saw how my mental health problems were taking a toll on him because he genuinely cared.

Feel free to disregard this, but how does this make sense? Would you rather interact with people who don't care?

I might or might not have been ghosted for a similar reason, so it's kind of familiar. Again, I'm not blaming you, merely gathering information... if I were to care about anyone else ever again.
