Sometimes I get moments of clarity where the thought of living and the thought of killing myself hold the exact same emotional value. I could kill myself or I could go on living. Both feel exactly the same. The only reason living wins out is because it is the path that I am already on and killing myself requires me to go to a different path. Hopefully these feelings can emerge at the time of my suicide. Just a rambling as my time draws near.

Yes that's it. Being born and surviving life is the default and dying prematurely is the opposition to the default and it is the opposition that needs to be justified by reasoning, not he default.

This is why I have a problem with how the government survives. If we say we have a problem with government then we are told we can just leave the country (yeah, for another government we wont like, you genius!).

Why would anyone vote for the creation or continuation of a legal fiction (something which isn't true and doesn't exist - but is assumed to be true, or exist for legal purposes) that can one day say if you don't like what it is doing, you can go elsewhere?

Surely it is government that has to continually justify it's existence over the land, to us, not the other way around.

In this world, having the desire to live will always be temporary and such moments will be few and far between. The need to die will always be the underlying, general prevailing feeling. The former is not worth having to endure the latter.
