Killing yourself at home?

Is killing yourself at home to abusive to the peolple you live with?

It would mean a family member (most likely) will find your body, and may have a bigger traumatic effect then being found by the clearning staff in a hotel who don't know you. (it can still be traumatic I know!)

Yet it is much easier to carry out your own killing because you have time - like for my instance - I have found the best place to tie a rope that is sometimes hard to find in a hotel room.

There is also less time between the decison to kill yourself and the deed. For a hotel, you have to book it, show up and find good places to hang the rope and by that time, SI has really popped in. At home, you probably have already found the best spot, practised maybe. The whole process is shorter from decision to deed

I am leaning to doing it at home because it is so much easier to carry out..

At home you may be found out. So if you do at home, be careful.
Also, find your sweet spot. Perrrfect your method so you are sure what's going to happen
If it has to work the right way, you should lose consciousness in 10-30 seconds. If it doesn't happen, you'll get strangulated which is a not so peaceful way to go and can strangulate you for 15-20 minutes..
So, pls do your experiments and perfect your method.
Also, if I was alone, i could use H2S along with swimming goggles on the basis of what i have read here. It gives instant loss of consciousness and very fast death. Though if i had others living around me, i would never try h2s as it can risk their lives

Yes, it's a very bad thing to do to your family and not just for the one finding you. After killing yourself there they might have to move to another home to find peace. You can't compare this to someone finding a stranger's dead body.

It's really a choice between your comfort and your family's peace. You have to make that choice yourself, just make sure you understand the consequences.

It's also known as detergent gas and a lot of Japanese folks used this method to ctb if i remember correctly.
This gas has a smell of rotten egg. It's highly toxic. It can kill someone within a minute and it can also kill everyone in the building or anyone that comes to rescue you. So, using this method requires a lot of precautions. Such as boards outside informing of the toxic gas so the rescuer who will get to see your body are prepared to safely take the body.
Also to ensure that your loved ones don't die accidentally, the board is super duper important.

I read a little about it - and seems hard to get high PPM content and the low levels are used to test instruments
If the goal is to knock you out - long enough that you collapses with a noose on - there are lots of other ways to do that including hyperventilation, airplane glue etc

I would think it would haunt them, and that awful image will be the first thing they think of every time they think of you. You can forget about them sleeping well with that image in their minds, they will quickly become dependent on Ambien if not something stronger. I think it's also highly likely that they'd feel they have to move after that, too, to try to distance themselves of the memory of finding you like that. So, my vote is for getting a room.
