Joining the 27 club

Most people know or have heard about the 27 club. Famous celebrities that died at the age of 27.

I turn 27 in a little over a month. And when I do, I think its time I join the club. I may not be as famous or talented as Kurt Cobain or Jimi Hendrix, but I doubt they'll kick me out of the club once I'm there. Even if they do, as long as I'm no longer here fucking everything up and ruining everyone's lives its all that matters.

I wouldn't use the 27 year as a milestone or reason, be on your own schedule. But if it does happen and there is such a club, I hope you have entrance to it, and say hello to them, especially Amy.

The 27 club is a media invention. Most rockstars with serious addiction issues have died in their 40s. Just like other, non famous, serious addicts. Vital organs dont prioritise failing before people turn 28. Suicide isn't tied to being 27. I see suicide as an incredibly difficult choice that people consider. I see it as a human rights issue. I am pro-choice.

Best of luck to you if you truly wish to join the 27 club, you could say that by ctbing I am trying to avoid the 33 club, the age at which jesus christ apparently died and the age that Scott Fitzgerald started to go downhill.
