I just want to take a moment to give a huge 'thank you' to each and every one of you who has commented (or anyone who didn't comment I love y'all too). Honestly, I was planning to schedule a post and not do a GBT, but a wise friend (you know who you are!) suggested that seeing your comments might be comforting...and they were right!

While I've always aimed to just give back to this community in some small way that I could, your comments have really brought a smile to my face. You all know how to make someone feel loved. It's kind of wild; I told myself I wouldn't make friends here, but some of ya really crept into my heart and shown me so much understanding & compassion. I knew this was the right path for me long before I even joined, and being able to share openly has been such a gift.

Also and this coulda/shoulda even been in my main post: I would like to take a moment to express my sincere gratitude to the incredible mod/admin team behind the scenes. You all are truly remarkable. Before I joined the site, my final days felt like they were counting down, and without this platform, I would have faced those days isolated & alone This site has provided me with a space to openly share my thoughts without fear of judgment (or, ahem, worse), which is a rare gift. While I may be physically alone in this journey, I feel a deep sense of connection and love in my heart. All of your hard work in keeping the site up & running is very appreciated, thanks to each and every one of you!

Thank you all for creating such a supportive environment. It means more to me than I can express and thanks to each and everyone one you for being there! I really value all of this!

@athiestjoe we've only had a couple interactions on the forum here, but I've always appreciated you as somebody who goes all-in any time you engage with another member here.

For anybody to reach this forum, by the time they get here, I feel like they've probably been failed many times over in life -- maybe they've been outcast or overlooked or dismissed or rejected or mistreated (or worse) at various points.

With the way you go all-in any time you respond to people here, you're providing them with a level of support that, if they had only gotten more of that before coming here, then maybe they wouldn't have reached a point in their lives where they are compelled to seek out a community like ours.

I am sorry that it has come to this for you.

You will be missed here, for sure.

oh gosh, i'm so happy for you. i'm going to miss seeing your amazing posts around the site. it was always a joy reading them. and i have so many of them bookmarked to help me with my own plans. you are irreplicable and will be greatly missed joe. i wish we could have chatted, but i'm ecstatic to see you finally get what you wanted. i hope it's peaceful for you. i hope you are happy now. take care and stay safe.
