Over the past year, increased regulatory pressure in multiple regions like UK OFCOM and Australia's eSafety has led to higher operational costs, including infrastructure, security, and the need to work with more specialized service providers to keep the site online and stable.

is there a memorial thread of some sort?? I'm familiar with the user created goodbye threads, but is there anything for someone who's gone on without leaving a note or goodbye thread

Not an official thread, no. Partly because- if they disappear with no goodbye thread- how would we know they had died rather than just left the forum? Seeing as it's anonymous.
Also, I think listing actual deaths in one convenient place would be the sort of ammunition journalists love I imagine. Obviously, they could still go hunting themselves but, it would make it so easy for them to have it all in one place.
I know what you mean though. A memorial type thread is a lovely idea. I just think it would more likely be used for other purposes though ultimately.

Yeah good point. Didn't even think about it like that. Sometimes I'm so focused on myself that I legitimately forget how stuff like this is still considered "taboo" in 2025. Just like a little vigil or something would be nice. Everyone deserves to be remembered. Doesn't even have to be real name or anything doxxing like that

And do you want to share more about your relationship with them?
sanctioned-suicide.net
That's maybe the closest thing.
Other than that though, it may be trickier than you would think. Who would actually know a member was considering leaving but them? Some choose not to make a goodbye thread, even a delayed one. Maybe in case their attempt fails. Would they want to sign up for being on a memorial thread if they weren't sure their attempt would work?
Also- you'll probably find yourself- if you start trying to research/ collate a list. Some members will just disappear with no clue to whether they just left or CTB. Some suggest suicude in their most recent post but then, they appear a few months later. Even after goodbye threads sometimes. It can be hard to know for sure sometimes. The sentiment is lovely though.
