• Hey Guest,

We wanted to share a quick update with the community.

Our public expense ledger is now live, allowing anyone to see how donations are used to support the ongoing operation of the site.

Over the past year, increased regulatory pressure in multiple regions like UK OFCOM and Australia's eSafety has led to higher operational costs, including infrastructure, security, and the need to work with more specialized service providers to keep the site online and stable.

If you value the community and would like to help support its continued operation, donations are greatly appreciated. If you wish to donate via Bank Transfer or other options, please open a ticket.

Never before in human history has 1 person/group had the power to cause the end of the world, through mutual self destruction it will only take 1 declaration of war from 1 superpower to another to end us all.

this wasnt always the case, before nukes, at worst, a few civilizations collapsed. it was simpler before, when people didnt see themselves as citizens of a country, but as citizens of whatever town they're from, as only a couple towns were destroyed.

now from the acts of a few, we all suffer.

outside of that, the planet itself is in crisis.

people have been saying the world will end since we had the ability to communicate to one another, but this time it may be true....

I suppose we can only hope but the odds do seem better than ever.

"Never before" is probably too extreme. Go back far enough to when there were far less people. Most theories lean towards humanity springing from Africa and spreading outward from there... so go back far enough and people were concentrated together and not many of them... so one person with a following could have wiped out most of humanity back then too.

It's arguably easier now for a despotic leader to trigger a nuclear war and take out a larger number of people... but ultimately it is the crappy horrible evil in humanity that makes that possible, and that has always been with us... from the beginning... because it's who we are, sadly.

I agree. I think it's the end of the civilization. Let just see this french streamer who died on a live stream. I've just answered to a thread here about it because I'm french and this is just devilish (no other words)

And when you see Gaza genocide, Ukraine war, millions on poor people dying and suffering, I think it' just a fact : the world is collapsing under our eyes, end evil does exist

Israel has a doctrine called Samson Option that is about taking the world down and I believe Satanyahu is evil enough to deploy it

Nukes have been around for ages but it appears as if they're too much of a cheat code to actually be used in a real-world situation. It's more the old "speak softly and carry a big stick" thing I think. I'm not saying it'll never happen, but even the most deranged leaders seem to feel they're just too destructive for the most part. Case in point, drones aside, everyone's still engaging in old school warfare.

Except that the United States did use them, against Japan... so a precedent has been set to defend their use. If the world does not shape up, I can easily see a day when someone in power somewhere decides they don't give a fuck and is willing to risk their own annihilation by aiming at someone they don't like.

This exact thought has passed through the minds of humans throughout history.

Ice age,Bronze age collapse,the Dark ages,the Bubonic Plague,etc

I dont think we are gonna perish or if we do,i feel like its mostly gonna be something natural rather than by politics.

But they can always launch nukes at each other and hide in their bunkers while we die so eh,Humanity is always in danger anyway.
