For me the most appealing method is defintely gun to the dome

Three things are hindering me tho:

1. i dont have access to firearms
2. i fear the SI could be quite high, even tho it is still probably one of the lowest SI methods there is compared to trains, jumping and SN because it is instant
3. im not sure if I want to end it

Does anyone know how bad SI is with guns?

I'm interested in the replies.
I'm going through it now. Took months to work up the courage for a purchase. I have it now. As of Sunday.
I'm still here. I've practiced dry firing. I'm not sure that helps or not. As of now it scares me.
Ultimately it scares me less than hanging. But it still needs to be done.
I was quite calm at the range. I wanted to practice. It went well. But I'm still here.
Maybe you're right. Still high. But lower than others.

I think SI can be very different for different people, for instance many people have a natural fear of heights, others fear deep waters, etc.
With a gun it should be relatively easy since it literally only takes a quick motion of a finger.
I've never considered it for myself since I'm in Europe and firearms are virtually impossible to obtain here - except, sadly, for legal mass murderers AKA "hunters".

I feel like gun is on par with jumping in terms of scariness. I can imagine myself taking SN but i can't think about jumping even if my life is at worst. I feel like jumping and guns are scary due to the uncertainty. With jumping it's the sensation of falling and with guns it's the possible pain you'll feel and the state of your body. In theory both method should be quick but will you feel any extreme pain before unconciousness, that's what scares me. Weirdly enough drowning feel less scary to me than SN but probably more painful

It's maddening assisted suicide isn't legal.
I've seen videos. Peaceful exits. There's nothing wrong with it.
Old and suffering. What's the difference of being old? Anyone suffering should have the right.

It's only instant if you position it correctly, aim perfectly, don't flinch, and hit the right spot for instant death. Otherwise, it's not instant! And you'll probably still die, but I'm sure that every second feels like an eternity when you've shot yourself in the head and you're bleeding out. For that reason, my SI is just too high with guns.

SN and drowning would be a last resort for me. Having to take an anti-emetic means your body probably knows its poisonous so you spend your last moments dry heaving while your body is on fire fighting for air that it can't get. I have heard that drowning is peaceful after your body gives up though, so maybe SN ends peacefully too?

I think the guns, jumping, stuff like that is scarier because we know that its effective and there's no way to pretend like it isn't. Whereas with SN its easier to tell yourself that you're just going to take some pills or powder, lay down and go to sleep.

I imagine it's kinda like the feeling you get when the doctor is going to give you a shot (no pun intended)
The more you think about it the more scary it gets so that's why you just gotta do it. Seize control over yourself and just pull the trigger.
