Any ink slingers around?
Anyone else just as devasted and irritated about the degradation of language, linguistics, grammar, and even definitions of words themselves? I find it more arduous to communicate with others, as each day passes. I come across many occasions in life, where I may as well be speaking another language, because no one seems to grasp what I'm elucidating, or even the simple responses I give. And I'm not even that intelligent! But, I am a genius in comparison to today's "modern" people, it would seem. Most people can't even seem to finish a thought, let alone build a constructive argument.
Language is a passion of mine and I believe in the preservation of languages and the words that create them. It further fuels my depression to know that language is being reduced to texting lingo, abbreviations galore, gangbanger slang, mumble rap, and inverted definitions of words.
