I really hope someone can help me, because I'd really like to use this method!
1. What kind of rope do I need?
Should it be flexible or rather stiff? Should it have some stretch or be static? How thick should it be?
2. What knots should I use?
For the anchor point, I was thinking of the anchor hitch, but I'd do one thing differently: instead of passing the rope through the two loops just once, I'd pass it through three times, and then tie 3 or 4 simple half-hitches with the remaining end. And finally, a stopper knot at the very end.
For my neck, I was thinking of the hangman's knot, but I've become really unsure about it! I've heard of the Arbor knot and other similar ones! Honestly, I've very rarely seen the hangman's knot mentioned on this site (though I haven't read that much here).
3. The rope should be positioned above the Adam's apple and below the jawbone—is that right?
(I might have written a bit too much, but I hope someone can help answer this.)
