i'm a procrastinator... today i'll practice making a slipknot. catching the bus in a few months

i have pretty much set a date, or at least a week, for my suicide.
i've been procrastinating about learning to tie a slipknot. and maybe even doing a test with it (not with my head, but my hand).

i can find toturials on how to do it, but are there different types of slipknots?

and anything else i should know?
how about that hangman knot or whatever it's called? i heard people recommending that too

The slipknot is not a good option because it doesn't tighten itself when you apply weight.

To do this you must use a noose knot in the ligature, which does fulfill that function. This way there are no free spaces and the rope compresses and penetrates your entire neck evenly as it closes completely when applying your weight. To add more security to the noose knot you can add a stopper knot at the free end.

It's also a good option, I've seen some users will use that type of knot (Poacher's Knot)

If you have a rope, you can do both to test/practice them. And choose the one that slides most easily without getting stuck.

i tested it out, it seems to work pretty well and slides easily.
i didn't do a full test and put my head through it.
i tested with my hands.
probably one of these days i'll do it in full size with a longer rope for the partial hanging.

what position do you recommend for partial hanging? if a full suspension anchor point isn't avialable.

what you think about putting the rope thru a closed door and sitting down in front of the closed door?

Nice, once you have the rope you plan to use, you can simply test the knots without tying the rope to the anchor point. As if it were a necklace.. and see how you feel both, which one seems more "comfortable" to you. You can adjust them a little by pulling (gently) with your hands the free end that would go at the anchor point.

You will need to find a position where you can apply as much of your weight as possible. Like a standing posture or kneeling posture.
