I might not be able to still cus I don't have access to much effective methods. It would feel like something an organization or a cult would do, and I don't see this community like any of that. It's more of a safe space, where people can be free to share things about suicide without fear of censorship. I don't believe this place would work like this organism that does one specific thing; it's more of a melting pot of different people, in different situations, with different goals, who create this environment.
F off. The last thing this site needs is bad publicity. Mods should delete this thread and ban the user.

Hell yeah. This may be my only way to die completely peacefully and for it to be guaranteed. With SN, I have worries about my method potentially failing due to some extremely unlucky circumstances but with this, there's a guarantee that I'd succeed and that's the thing that matters to me the most.
This site is going to get bad publicity regardless of whether this thread exists or not. The very nature of this site is going to cause it bad publicity since pro lifers want to enslave people in existence for as long as possible whereas this site thinks that ctb should be a choice. Also, this thread is only a hypothetical scenario, there's no need to get angry at them due to that

Whoever doesn't like the thread moves on. To answer the question: No, suicide for me is a very personal issue. And if you decided to do it with a romantic or strategic partner, it would remain a private and personal matter.

This is a space of freedom to communicate about suicide. It is a hypothetical question, a literal poll. The forum already HAS a bad rap for being a safe space. You are the type to make it not a safe space. Maybe YOU need to step away from the forum.
In any case, to answer the question, no. I think death is a deeply personal experience. To be shared maybe with a trusted person or two, if that.

Calling for a massive, negative public event that originates from this site is very bad. It increases media attention. It increases attention from law enforcement.
Other people might not have access to the information they need to CTB.

What do you think happens when that's the lead headline in the media? SS ceases to exist. Pretty simple.
People in pain don't have the information they need or an outlet to talk about it.

I think you're reading too much into it. It sounds like OP is just asking a question out of morbid curiosity. Do I think it's kind of a weird question? Yeah. But I think it's a bit of a stretch to accuse OP of calling upon users of SS to do a mass suicide pact.

My death is my own. It's not about this group, I'm not part of anything here. It's not a statement, it's not about anyone else. My life will already be tainted by a suicide, that's how I'm going to be remembered and I have to accept that. I don't want a thousand other suicides to be lumped into that, I want something to be about me.
Only if we took Nembutal at the same time as that's the only 100% method that seems painless. That would be a dream to spend my last day with people who feel the same as I do. I imagine that would be a peaceful and pleasant way to skip out on life

It was an opinion I was asking. If you saw the first word of my thread title, the word "IF" is the first word. It did not insinuate that I had any plans to make a worldwide pact.
If you can't handle opinions, questions, and/or advice, this site is not for you.

I haven't fully read through the other responses, but skimming down I think I saw mention of "cult". I do think it'd be a bad idea for the publicity side of things. Even if I don't think a mass CTB would necessarily be indicative of that, it would definitely be used by detractors of the site against the site's very existence.
I don't think I would because I currently don't have access to a method I would want to take. I am also extremely stubborn in many instances where if I'm told to do something I might just... not do it. Obviously I'd have a choice here, but in the hypothetical if it was like "we're all going to do this at the same time and you should too" I would outright refuse on principle of I'll do what I want when I want to ^^;
