If I could fully believe in Indian-style reincarnation, I think it might actually make me feel better about living this particular shitty life out to its natural end.

Well, the 'bad' news is, within Hindu/Buddhist beliefs, you ain't just leaving your Karmic baggage at the bus-station.

It's travelling with you into your next life until you learn how to let it go.

If only it was as simple as a CTRL-ALT-DEL reboot

I mean, why not?
The choice has nothing to do with them "futures".
Just would definitely going to haunt people for a while first, for the fun of it.
I fucking died for this shit after all.

it still would do it. But I expect something really spiritual. Like being one with space. Floating in space, without body just energy and something beautiful. Like a cohesion of all minds.
I hope for something unmaterial and without boundaries

Yes, it would make me more likely to, especially if the afterlife is considered a pleasant place.

This isn't news to me, and I don't think anything I said should have suggested that it would be. I've lived in India since I married a religious Hindu fifteen years ago, and have read the Mahabharata in Sanskrit every day for even more years than that. Maybe you and I have something in common. I hope so.

I was raised hindu - so if there is this whole karmic point system with multiple reincarnations etc - I would be so pissed.

It would mean that we were like hamsters on a wheel, with no way to get off.

If someone were to prove that to me - I would be so uber-pissed.

And yeah - I'd probably hit the reboot switch real quick

This post makes me think of the movie, "What Dreams May Come" with Robin William's. Somewhat ironic he ctb after playing in that movie.
I have felt I'm already in hell for the last several years, after literally ruining my life in less than a years time
I do hope theres an afterlife where I get to be with friends, family, and animals I loved dearly.
With my luck I'll probably be reincarnated as a rock in a hot desert or a dog with terrible owners
I just dont know but I do think about it all the time

If I'd ctb'ed successfully in my last attempt, I suppose my frying pan or oven (or whatever they use to roast people down there) would've been a couple degrees less hot. My sin counter has been dinging faster than CinemaSins on a Michael Bay movie these past few years. Might as well go now before I accumulate more dings, although I'm pretty sure I've already hit the counter's max on Gluttony at least.

Depends on what it entails however, as I have said time and time again, the only afterlife that makes sense is the one presented at the end of The Good Place. If I had proof that that was the afterlife in store for me I'd probably just kill myself right away.
Now you have me curious..
Yes or no?
I would kill myself either way, even if there were infinite afterlives, even if they were hell.
I'm not going to stay in one hell just to avoid the hypothetical inevitability of another, I would just find a way to continue killing myself in every single one (unless there was a second chance at paradise to be had).

I'm saying this btw, without even the tiniest belief in any sort of afterlife genuinely existing.

Afterlife meaning going to another dimension, a different world, not reincarnation, returning to the same world?

I feel hopeless, life meaningless in this world. Leaving this world asap going to another one is fine. Afterlife or not makes no difference.

If afterlife is coming back to this world, I want to ask if next life is assigned randomly or based on karma in this life, and how long the gap period is before reappearance. The current mess is not going to improve soon. If possible I prefer not to return in the near future.

As long as I don't have to go through this s*it called "life" again (being reincarnated on earth that is..), I'm fine with whatever comes after death. Can't be really worse than it is now.

Yes or no?
This would be terrible news, this would mean no escape. It would be meaningless even to attempt ctb not knowing what the afterlife would be

If I knew for sure my late girlfriend was there(and my mother and father) and also that it was a pleasant place, I'd CTB in the next hour
