I hope death is the end

I used to wish there was some kind of afterlife, that would be better than this. But even if there is a possibility that it will be just as bad or even worse, I think I wouldn't want to risk it.

I know that every hope is just a trap. But I think I will still allow myself to hope for this.

The idea of ceasing to exist feels like complete relief.

me too , but if god doesn't exist there will not be an afterlife, at least the one mentioned in Abrahamic religions

I know many people who died and for sure none came back in any form to confirm it was something after... So in my opinion, there is nothing, just like a dead animal, a dead plant or whatever, you die, you rot and the life continues without you.

that's one reason why eternal Non-existence is better than living this life or another life after Death ; any second a human or other animal is living there is always the possibility of falling into a trap of chronic constant extreme pain or suffering so bad it's a billion times worse than the worst one can imagine

to me it seems most humans don't know any of this and instead are programmed to look at the supposedly good or "beautiful " or enjoyable things . however the most horrible things and worst pain outweigh those fleeting meaningless pleasureable things by a million times.

and there is no protection from the most unbearable pain no guarantee. except only one Non-existence forever

so Permanent Non-existence is the only perfection

I know 1 micro second after my brain dies I will cease to exist for all time.

Same. I'd like to think death really is the end, but the idea of reincarnation terrifies me. Maybe the Buddhists were onto something with Saṃsāra.

I get you when i attempted and nearly died my believes were than there was nothing after death, now not so much maybe things like reincarnation is a subconscious desire of having another go at life specially when you feel such a big failure like i do
