I tried to hang myself with a belt in my apartment, but I failed.

So literally an hour ago, after planning for weeks to CTB today, I decided to attempt to hang myself with a belt in my apartment. I actually tried several doors in my apartment, but each time, after I hung for a few seconds the belt slipped right out.

Is there any other ways anyone would recommend me go about it? I'm not particular about how to go about it. I just want out very soon. I'd planned to be dead by now, and I want to die as soon as I can.

Failing ctb is what I fear and is what sounds so horrible to me, I hate how it's not more straightforward to be free from this world, suicide really is just too unnecessarily difficult. But anyway I hope that you eventually find the freedom you search for, best wishes.

I guess theoretically I could, but I'd likely have the same issue in my apartment. I'm choosing my apartment because I don't want to be caught.

It actually humored me because I fell and landed right on my butt. When I realized that the belt slipped from the door, it at least humored me.

With that being said, I do want out of life and I'm 100% sure that I want out. Nothing is keeping me here. I admittedly don't know how to go about it.

Basically wedged between the door and the frame after the door shut. It's strange because it seemed like it could handle some weight, but I seem to weigh too much for this.

I used to have a belt fastened in a loop attached to a heavy-duty coat hanger in my closet. It would have probably worked, I just never got the guts to do it back then.

Well, for starters using a decent rope as Praestat suggested. Secondly, I presume this is partial, which is unpredictable and not definitive like full. I recommend doing more research - SAAS, LOH and SW as some sources.
