I think a Friend scammed me? What do you think ?

So there is this person A who I considered to be a good friend. There is another person S . So we had an office event. A went and bought alcohol for everyone. Including me and S .
Everyone else paid the money to A .
A asked me to pay for S as well and take money from him. S is known for not paying his dues and A knew that, yet he pulled me into this. This happened months ago and I realised yesterday. I am feeling overwhelmed by this .

Does this mean you paid for S drink and then asked S for the money for their drink to give to A ?

If you paid the money S owed for their drink I think you should get the money from S and A should not since you paid for both S drink and your own drink

A : bought all the drinks

Parnate : gave A what is owed for own drink + what is owed for S drink

A : tells Parnate to get money from S and bring it to them (A) because of history of not paying things back (although Parnate would be the person who is owed the money for S drink)

Yes. I am disappointed with A cause we were close . He said so many times that I am very naive , gullible and innocent and yet he did this to me.

Leave the past behind and don't do it again, right? "A" has lost points with you. If "A" tries it again, don't go along with it. You'll know for sure by the reaction if there's really a friendship or not. Or, maybe, "A" was thinking you would do this as a favor and has no idea how it affected you.

The thing is that i get carried away. I am afraid in future he might do such a thing again. It isn't about money its about taking advantage of my innocence.
