Man since ancient times applied castration to control the agressiveness of his beasts.
He realized that not only was the danger of the beast eliminated, but its sexual appetite was also reduced and its ability to reproduce was removed. Typical examples include Oxen (castrated bulls).
After accepting this practice, man decides, in the year 2,000 BC, to castrate his slaves as well. If animals become more docile, will the same thing happen to human beings?
Throughout history, castrated men were known as eunuchs.
"The eunuch in history was far from just castrated, he had a richer social component. The eunuch became a trusted person in high places, the protector of the harem, the mediator between the king and his inferiors." -Source

I´m straight and interested in this procedure. The doctor will only do this for prostate cancer patients, though.
Supposedly, there are some side effects such as reduced muscle strength. However, oxen are castrated bulls that are used for labor, and remain strong.

Frustration and aggressiveness can be a source of trouble.

Interesting.

Have you considered chemical castration? Though I would think this was incredibly risky, too.

Or even a strict vegan diet?

There are monks who eat strictly vegan because it is said to temper the passions, whereas a diet rich in animal products tends to boost libido and testosterone.

I think you should read this article: https://academic.oup.com/jcem/article/84/12/4324/2864451

Now there are drugs you can take which induce it naturally rather than getting orchiectomy (castration). There are other methods though this section is public board and I won't post here.
Now it's important to have a dominant sex hormone in your body otherwise you will get osteoporosis, brain fog (eventual dementia), osteoarthritis and other things. Nearly everyone eventually has to decide on estrogen or Tesosterone replacement. The former will feminize you and make you visibly trans.
I do not know why the animals you mentioned do not suffer from this. Maybe it's due to being less sexually dimorphic than us and we rely on sex hormones more. Those mentioned don't live nearly as long as us. I'm sure there is an explanation.
I also cannot tell you if aggression is inherently tied to sex hormones if you recall as a child you might have often got into tempers like we all did.

I think this is way too damaging to a person's overall health- sexualy energy affects your overall energy a lot, so I woujldn't mess with this. There are much better ways to deal with frustration adn aggression, mainloy by changing how you think about things.

Wow. Being a eunuch really sucked balls.

Today society is very different from that.

Also, the reason eunuchs had that kind of social position, "trusted person in high places", was because the eunuch was seen as an inferior person and the perfect servant, a weak man, a man that could not steal or maintain power, build a family or alliances, nor have sexual intercourse with the females of the family he served.

Many eunuchs had a better social standing and more confortable lives than the ordinary peasants, but there is nothing really glorious about it.

This all sounds just so cruel, to impose something like this on a person. Of course, its a whole different thing if you are doing this to yourself, but are you not worried about possible psychological consequences down the line, like regret?

I found another benefit;

Castration could help men to live LONGER: Removing the testes of male sheep lets them live up to 60 per cent longer by delaying the aging of DNA — and the same thing could apply to humans, study claims

I hope to fund a surgeon who can do this.

Lol, this is the exact opposite of a benefit, especially on a suicide forum

Honest question so don't take this the wrong way: do you have an aversion to your own genitals? I'm a current sex/porn addict and have experienced the desire to self-castrate a lot, but I think its probably a bad substitute for things that behavioral and lifestyle choices could probably solve.

Also, seems like not a great comparison between humans and oxen: oxen weigh can weigh over a ton, walk on four legs, have way lower life expectancies, etc.

Well, for what it's worth, I'm a fifty-one year old vegan, a vegan for twenty years, and I'm still horny as shit, and hard as I ever was when I fuck, though not when I jerk off.
