Discussion How to make sure I’m found before anyone gets suspicious?

I can't help but think about how my body will be found after I CTB. I live alone away from family who are in another state. If I CTB at home, I imagine they'd start to realise somethings wrong when I'm not answering the phone and they'd probably be notified of my absence from work. In which case, they'd probably call police for a welfare check and find out I'm gone that way.

I'd much rather spare them the anxiety of not knowing what's wrong and instead have them find out until I'm already found and confirmed dead- but I've got no idea how to make that work if I do it alone at home. Can't exactly call for a welfare check on myself once I'm already gone haha

Setup a scheduled email for one or two days later to the local authorities and parents if you decide not to ctb then it's easily deletable.

Yes, a scheduled mail is probably the best. I wrote the text for mine already. It will be timed for 24h later and go out to several of the nearest police departments. In the mail I explain who I am, why and how I killed myself, and where they can find my body.

It took me a bit to find a suitable email provider. The free one I've been using for years now does not have a timer function. Gmail does, but gmail openly admits to reading all of your incoming and outgoing mails, and analizing them with AI. I will not risk google alerting the police too early. So I've finally settled on a paid proton account. That one has scheduled mails as well and hopefully won't read them itself. Other providers might be more usefull in your case though, so do your own research.

Yes, a scheduled mail is probably the best.

Thanks for the advice, but I don't think police in my area have an email address for general enquiries, crime/welfare checks etc. Perhaps I'll have to do a little more research.

Presumably you could possibly schedule a text to the emergency services using an app if your country or state supports it https://doitlater.co/
