I don't really have much place to hang myself, with the exception of these door hooks.

I also have ratchet straps (about 28mm ish in width) which I bought for night-night/korean method but ultimately I don't think it's gonna be reliable and very difficult to achieve.

would this be good enough? I could tie it as to not pull me as I partially hang, or I can just remove the heavy ratchet mechanism entirely given the length.

The ratchets are supposedly rated for 800kg, but not the door hooks probably. I don't have much places that could act as an anchor point for my straps.

Where on the neck did you place the rope and the knot? Most ideal location seems to be just below the jaw with the knot at the back.
Not on the side? For some reason I feel like I read on the left side behind the ear but I can't find that source now.

Will it work if you do it half lying down? I don't have many places to do this, and the only workable option for me is to do it under the table (77 cm high). There will be a belt as a rope, but the one I have is too short. It will be mounted on a metal stick directly on the table (in the photo).

Wanted to know opinion about it.

Guide to partially suspended hanging:

Warning: Don't try this method unless you're totally sure that:
a) you want to kill yourself
b) that you won't be found for at least 30 minutes after you attempt.

This method is very lethal and quick (quick from your perspective
anyway, as you black out within seconds), but if you're found in time
and 'saved' you can end up with serious brain damage and/or be left a
vegetable.

Why partial suspension?
Because full suspension seems to me to be unnecessary and creates
difficulties. First of all you need to find a place which would hold
your entire weight, which isn't easy, and also you need a stronger
ligature, which isn't always easy to find either. There's nothing
wrong with full suspension, but it may not be a viable method for
everyone, especially if you're looking to use everyday materials from
around the home.

By partial suspension I mean that you hang yourself around the neck
(specifically the carotid artery), and push downwards while kneeling.
This should create enough downward pressure on the ligature to tighten
it and close the carotid artery and stop the blood flow to your brain.
All you need is 3 kilograms of pressure to do this, which isn't much
at all.

Also, with full suspension your entire body weight is pressurizing
your neck, and this would probably be more than enough to not only cut
off the blood supply to your brain, but break your neck as well. I'm
not too sure if that's a good or a bad thing. I do know though, that
statistically people who've attempted via hanging have more often been
found kneeling and partially suspended than being fully suspended.

Where is the carotid artery?
Before you start you have to know this. If you place your hand around
the middle of your neck, around your Adam's apple, with one thumb on
one side and all fingers on the other, you should feel a strong pulse
and heartbeat. If you close your hand now fairly firmly, you'll
probably make yourself pass out. It might be a good idea to try this
to make sure you've got the right spot.

What type of ligature?
You need a ligature that's strong, but not too elastic. It doesn't
have to be very long, 1 meter or more would be plenty. I'd advise
against nylon rope, string, fishing wire, etc.
Neckties on the other hand, are perfect Smile .

It may also be a good idea to lubricate the ligature with soap. This
would help the noose tighten even quicker, especially if you're using
a rough ligature such as a rope. Lubricating it in this way will
increase the friction once you push your head down and tighten the
noose, and could make it a little more effective and faster.

What type of knot?
A slipknot. It's one of the most basic knots around, and you make it
with one end of your ligature. The other end should go around your
hanging place.

Many people have the misguided idea that a hangman's knot should be
used, but they're wrong. A hangman's knot is for a completely
different purpose, and won't work for this method.

Where should I hang?
You should hang from a support which will hold part of your weight.

You should test this by tying the loose end of your ligature around
the support several times, sticking your hand (NOT your head) in the
noose and pushing down with it. If the noose holds, you're fine. If
not, then you'll have to find another spot.

A great and easy place to hang is from the thick horizontal metal bar
which you find in wardrobes in most homes.

When should I do it?
When no one else will be in the same area, for at least 30 minutes.
You lose consciousness within seconds but your body doesn't completely
die for around 15-20 minutes. The extra 10-15 minutes is for
preparation time and just in case.

How?

When you're completely ready, kneel down, stick your head in the
noose, position it around the carotid artery and push downwards with
your head.

Good luck...
How thick does the rope need to be? Someone help

Is this really painless and as quick as it seems? I wanna try it but I can't find the artery and Idk where to place the noose. If I place it wrong it can suffocate me, right? And that girl in the video doesn't seem to express any pain. She just pushes herself and suddenly faints. Can I follow it the same way? I mean the exact same procedure?

Does anybody know what the black wrap is around her neck and where you can buy one?

It's probably a weight machine strap. They're used with cable cross machines for things like leg raises.

FSH over the door is rare, but is still likely to succeed. There's no chance your hand will be in a position to open the door. Have you ever tried opening a door when you're facing the other way? It's hard enough when your compos mentis.

I've got afew questions.

1. It says that you need to push downwards while kneeling and that you need 3 kilograms of pressure. I'm confused, I need it to be explained further.

2. It says "What type of ligature?

What is a ligature?

How do I make sure the ligature is strong, but not too elastic?

Is it part of the rope cut off that needs to be 1 metre?

What kind of rope would I need?

How many mm should the rope be?

The biggest problem for me with fsh is a location. Full suspension is 100% reliable if 1. Anchor point is ok 2. Rope is strong enough 3. Correct knots are used. 4. Enough height and nothing to put back feet on 5. Not interrupted. Having to do it in the woods makes it more scary :(
The one end that goes in the head is a slipknot the other end that foes to the tree branch what type of knot should we use?
I will use a water bowline (That knot is important to do correct, since it will not forgive some mistakes that can be done) and I will add an extra layer of safety with a fishermen bend as a stopper knot. Don't take this as a recommendation, it's just what I will use.

I so very nearly succeeded with this method :( Hung myself while I was in the psych ward and when they found me I was unconscious and unresponsive. Had CPR to resuscitate and was intubated for some days in the ICU. I'm lucky I have no brain damage, but nothing else came out of it but a permanent-looking scar. If I ever attempt again I think I'd try it exactly the same.

The main noise issue would arise due to your body thrashing around, not your voice. So no need to gag self.

Indeed the best location is just above the Adams apple, not all the way up under the jaw as I've seen suggested too many times. My testing since making this correction would suggest that blacking out happens extremely quickly, like 10 seconds if that.
Will bedsheet work for this method?
That's how people do it (successfully) in prison.

Hey for all those wondering I recently found YouTube videos which demonstrate how partial hanging works basically it's called vascular neck restraint and it basically puts pressure on someone's carotid arteries and induces unconsciousness shortly followed by convulsions here is the link to the videos

.

The elbow is in the middle where the windpipe is located and pressure is applied to the bilateral sides of the neck containing the carotid arteries and the pressure is applied by the bicep and forearm to each side

Hope this helps some ppl who needed visual representations of the method

I am really worried that if I hang on my doorknob my convulsions would end up banging on the door and waking up my family :/

A normal 10-12 mm rope is fine. But it should hold at least double your weight. Ig any material is good you only have to look for a not too strechy one. For example polypropylene ropes are a good material for that.

Materials like hemp, jute, etc, are more than strong enough for full suspension hanging, so that's not a concern. On y they can cause friction and hurt more so you could apply some sort of soap around your neck or padding.

You're better off doing it on a tree in a forested or secluded area if you're not able to be alone at least for a couple hours after attempt.
