I felt the urge to gag and cough when I tried practicing partial with the rope dangling over a door. But when i switched tl the closet, it somehow worked.
Probably due to the positioning of my body. How are you doing it? Are you kneeling? Leaning forward?
I was standing.

So i have been experimenting with choking myself with hands and often manage to get vision go black, but then returns normal again without releasing compression. What I am doing wrong?
You might have loosened the pressure as you were about to pass out. You must have an external assistance to help maintain the pressure on your neck as you go limp. If method is applying pressure on neck pressure points, one such assistance could be to lie on ones stomach, head tilted upward, and the body/head weight is naturally applied to your hands therefore maintaining constant pressure to the points.

Welcome to my world lol. I can't get over the gagging and coughing and abort every time. I really want to try full, but it sounds scary.
Yeah, i think Im just going to buy a shotgun and blow my brains out my ass. A hell of a way to die, but at least it'll be quick and easy. Just so damn expensive....

SN is way cheaper and less messy, only problem is sourcing the metoclopramide and propranolol. I actually take propranolol to keep my heart rate steady so I'm good there.

There are other methods in the resourse section that might fit your situation.
Yeh I know was helpful a while back found my sweet spot but the rope snapped unfortunately since then my sweet spot has backed away lol

Dromperidone for antiemetic alternative I believe is easier to get as there's an OTC of it.

I wish this method was painless. But its not. I am talking from experience. I tried to hang myself i recommend something else. It just hurts to have something around your neck. I mean it true you do feel like your going to passout. But when i tried, i tried to make myself passout before i hang. But putting the noose around my neck and i remember feeling light headed. But i didn't pass out. Even tho i put a good amount of pressure on my neck. I gave enough for me to breath but enough to feel light headed. It sad i did not pass out. If i did then i would not be typeing this message. Fully suspended is a better method. I will try next. Yes it will hurt but i hope it will be over soon.

Edit:
I would say cutting with a shape knife to the vains it quicker. Because i am 6 foot and 2" it a pain because i am almost the height of the door

New here.

My preferred method is partial but will go with full if I cannot master partial before Friday.

My first practice attempt with partial was strange. I have a rope wrapped around my door and thrown over. I used a hangman's noose before reading the thread and learning a slipknot is better. The video with Carla demonstrating the Choking Game is how I attempted. I was standing and put pressure on my neck. The rope was under my Adam's apple. I have never been able to find my sweet spot. I leaned in and usually count up to 20. I wasn't feeling anything - no exploding head feeling or anything. If I'm still conscious after 20 seconds. I reposition; however, when I stepped back and released pressure, I got incredibly dizzy and couldn't stand straight. I was able to grab on to the wall and release the noose. It was oddly euphoric.

My second practice was with a different method. I knelt and used a slipknot. I remember counting to 20 with the rope still under my Adam's apple, but don't remember stopping my count. This was really strange because I don't know how long I was there. All I remember is coming too from being what felt like disoriented. I had weird thoughts in my head and a feeling of shitting myself. I came too nearly lying on my back and coughing really loud and freaking out to get the noose off my neck. If I didn't end up in a position that released the amount of pressure I placed I think I would have truly lost consciousness and had a successful attempt.

All day tomorrow I'm going to hopefully try and find my sweet spot. I also think make practice attempts by kneeling or more so squat with my feet flat against the onto the door so hopefully if I were to lose consciousness more of my weight will just drop and add more pressure.

My chosen date is hopefully this Friday night but most likely Saturday. But again if I continue failing at partial, I'll just do full.

My questions that I don't think have been answered are when in partial and unable to block carotid, wouldn't a person just eventually pass out because I think that's what my second practice/attempt would have done. Also, what do you all think about full from my door?

During full suspension, would pass out time still be between 20 seconds and a minute even if rope isn't on the sweet spot? Just more painful because of it'll block of carotid and airway?

Guide to partially suspended hanging:

Warning: Don't try this method unless you're totally sure that:
a) you want to kill yourself
b) that you won't be found for at least 30 minutes after you attempt.

This method is very lethal and quick (quick from your perspective
anyway, as you black out within seconds), but if you're found in time
and 'saved' you can end up with serious brain damage and/or be left a
vegetable.

Why partial suspension?
Because full suspension seems to me to be unnecessary and creates
difficulties. First of all you need to find a place which would hold
your entire weight, which isn't easy, and also you need a stronger
ligature, which isn't always easy to find either. There's nothing
wrong with full suspension, but it may not be a viable method for
everyone, especially if you're looking to use everyday materials from
around the home.

By partial suspension I mean that you hang yourself around the neck
(specifically the carotid artery), and push downwards while kneeling.
This should create enough downward pressure on the ligature to tighten
it and close the carotid artery and stop the blood flow to your brain.
All you need is 3 kilograms of pressure to do this, which isn't much
at all.

Also, with full suspension your entire body weight is pressurizing
your neck, and this would probably be more than enough to not only cut
off the blood supply to your brain, but break your neck as well. I'm
not too sure if that's a good or a bad thing. I do know though, that
statistically people who've attempted via hanging have more often been
found kneeling and partially suspended than being fully suspended.

Where is the carotid artery?
Before you start you have to know this. If you place your hand around
the middle of your neck, around your Adam's apple, with one thumb on
one side and all fingers on the other, you should feel a strong pulse
and heartbeat. If you close your hand now fairly firmly, you'll
probably make yourself pass out. It might be a good idea to try this
to make sure you've got the right spot.

What type of ligature?
You need a ligature that's strong, but not too elastic. It doesn't
have to be very long, 1 meter or more would be plenty. I'd advise
against nylon rope, string, fishing wire, etc.
Neckties on the other hand, are perfect Smile .

It may also be a good idea to lubricate the ligature with soap. This
would help the noose tighten even quicker, especially if you're using
a rough ligature such as a rope. Lubricating it in this way will
increase the friction once you push your head down and tighten the
noose, and could make it a little more effective and faster.

What type of knot?
A slipknot. It's one of the most basic knots around, and you make it
with one end of your ligature. The other end should go around your
hanging place.

Many people have the misguided idea that a hangman's knot should be
used, but they're wrong. A hangman's knot is for a completely
different purpose, and won't work for this method.

Where should I hang?
You should hang from a support which will hold part of your weight.

You should test this by tying the loose end of your ligature around
the support several times, sticking your hand (NOT your head) in the
noose and pushing down with it. If the noose holds, you're fine. If
not, then you'll have to find another spot.

A great and easy place to hang is from the thick horizontal metal bar
which you find in wardrobes in most homes.

When should I do it?
When no one else will be in the same area, for at least 30 minutes.
You lose consciousness within seconds but your body doesn't completely
die for around 15-20 minutes. The extra 10-15 minutes is for
preparation time and just in case.

How?

When you're completely ready, kneel down, stick your head in the
noose, position it around the carotid artery and push downwards with
your head.

Good luck...
Okay but what if I want to just break my neck? Would the length of the rope matter? And all of that stuff. I really need to know how to do that

Made an attempt today. Several, actually. I spent most of the day trying to figure out why my planned method (night-night) wasn't working despite all of my success in practice.
After I gave up on that, I went for hanging. I was trying to adjust the length of the noose to do full suspension. I thought it was the right length so I put the noose on and stepped off, only to discover that it was still a bit too low for full suspension (I was standing on my toes, not hanging).

My body started convulsing like never before. I was awake, but not really conscious and couldn't control anything, even my thoughts became nonsensical - like dreams. I'm not sure if it was a seizure, can't remember much. I just know I stepped off the stool and thought "still too low" and next thing I knew I was slamming against the door. I'm not sure how I managed to get out of the noose because all I can remember after that is feeling so dizzy and nauseous that somehow I crawled into bed and fell asleep.

I'm not sure if I would have died from that if I hadn't escaped the noose. That experience was completely different from the fuzzy fade-to-black experiences I usually have with strangulation.

Why am I still alive? Damn.

You sure would have died if you hadn´t escape the noose. It would have been partial suspension. You must have a very strong subconscious will to survive! So full suspension is probably the right choice for you.

How to adjust the length of noose? The noose will reduce the diameter of your neck by 50%. So you need something, for example a tube, with half the diameter of you neck. Put the tube in the noose and adjust the length in a way that the noose is higher than you. Grab the tube and make some chin ups for checking. This way you also test the strength of the whole structure. Good luck!

Best object to use as a noose? Belt, neck tie, bathrobe belt et.c? And what's the best way to tie it. Planning on partial suspension

So that means I have to put the rope around the adam apple, right? I can't be the only one for whom this hurts like shit.

edit: Ok, interesting. I bound a scarf pretty dense around my throat at the specific area. The other end I tied to a doorknob. Then i got onto my knees and carefully leaned forwards to increase the pressure. The was something happening, at least my eyeballs felt like dropping out.... Lol... didn't want to look like a pothead the next days, so I stopped. Was that the right path to salvation?

You are not the only one for whom this hurts like shit if you put the rope around the Adam´s apple! The rope has to be above your Adam´s apple, where it slips automatically if you hang.
You must not know where your carotid arteries are, the rope will find them. The carotids run along the neck and the rope surrounds the neck, there is always a point of intersection for each carotid.

I'm having trouble finding an indoor anchor point for full suspension, I don't have much space. I'm thinking about buying a pull up bar you can attach to the wall. Has anyone ever tried this? An alternative may be a curtain rod but I'm not sure if this can hold my full bodyweight.

Hello SS. How do you guys get over the feeling of the rope strangling your neck.
I can't fight the survival instincts.
Need your guys help.
And where do you guys get the right kind of ropes from? How can you tell they are right for the purpose? (Maybe a link)
Thanks.

I think the most important part, even beyond privacy, is that the fucking rod/bar/what ever is stable. If it breaks in the middle of the process, you are fucking lost, meaning potentially vegetable-lost.

I think a proper pull up bar might work, just don't take those you can put between a door frame, they are freaking risky. If you attach it to the wall with some proper screws, that should do the trick. You might check for how many KG they are designed to hold.
Maybe research before, If people experienced them breaking out of the wall before.

I will probably just go in the forest at night. The chances of someone beeing there are extremly low, especially when you leave the tracks and maybe even go a little further into the woods. Go deep enough, and your chances of getting found are almost zero. And: It's really easy to find a stable branch to attach your rope to!
Plus for me, I really like forests, I think they are more a home to me than stupid stone houses (speaking of atmosphere, not comfort). Maybe I will even feed some wild animals with my rotting flesh, yummi (kidding, there are only foxes, rabits, pigs and deers where I live and smaller animals).

Yes definitely not one between the door frame. A forest is my plan b, I think it can be quite difficult to find a branch that is not too low and not too high. I'm not taking a ladder with me to the forest, maybe I should train my tree climbing skills or something. What will you do to make sure your body is found? My plan is to send a scheduled email to the emergency services, in the case of a forest with the coordinates of the place.

Hm I suggest you go into the forest and look for a proper place/branch beforehand. When the day comes, the last thing you want is to look around the forest and probably be all nervous if you find a good spot or not. Plus, it's pretty dark at night.
Hmm I think there are usually all kind of different trees in a forest, some with lower branches, some with higher ones. I always found a tree I can climb on in the past. But, that could change when you go further into the forest to not be found. Maybe because the trees are closer to oneanother, they tend to have their branches more up in the treetops. But that's very hypothetical now, I will go in the next days to check. Probably you just have to look a while and you will find your spot.

To be honest, I don't really care if my body is found. I just want to end it. Should I care?
I could but a note on my desk, which would be found since I live my parents at the moment. When they don't see me for a while, they will probably check my room. I want to write at least one good bye letter anyway, so in it I could also tell the people where I roughly am.
I definitly don't want to send a mail or a letter, in case I don't succeed with my plans. A letter on the table can easily be removed.

I added more illustrations to show that this method has a good success rate and you shouldn't worry too much about fucking things up.
After reading so many posts about hanging I'm so sure this is how my son went, I really want to do it but don't want my husband or children to find me yet I'm to afraid to do it anywhere else

Hello guys.
Some Questions.
The slip knot that I make, doesnt seem to hold when I put my hand threw the sling. It opens up. You can see the rope that I use in the picture I added. Is the rope the wrong kind? Cause the noose widens always when I'm "practicing".
Now maybe I need another knot, maybe you guys could recommend me a knot?
Which kind of rope do you guys recommend me. Which kind of knot do you use on your anchor point?
Thx for your replies
