I was 15 when I first "drove" a car. My dad was talking to a neighbour after we'd gotten home from doing something and we were parked on the street outside the house (don't remember why, as we almost always parked in the driveway). I climbed into the driver's seat and was just sitting there, until my dad was done talking to the neighbour, and he beckoned for me to turn the car on and just pull it into the driveway. I'd only driven jet skis at that point so I had no idea what the fuck I was doing, and I told him that, but he said I could do it. I put the car in reverse because I'm a dipshit who should have never been born and then stepped on the gas because I didn't realize how sensitive the gas pedal was, and backed full force into the ditch and fucked up the transmission and there was dirt flying up all over the place. Apparently it looked like something out of a slapstick comedy movie.

Technically I was 6 when I started Chinese school but I dropped out before I could actually learn the language because I didn't want to waste my Saturday mornings. I started taking French in 8th grade when I was 13 but I wouldn't say I've become fluent in it even though I took three years of French.

Oh, that's a tricky question. I fluctuated a lot between believing and not believing in a (religious) God for years. I was 8 when I first questioned the existence of God – I prayed to God like it was my job to make everything that was happening to me stop, including as it was happening. I felt like He'd abandoned me and I had a really hard time believing in someone who was not only "letting" this happen to me, but also letting it get worse. I was really fucking angry at Him. I kept trying to believe in God throughout the years to have something to hold on to, and as much as I wanted to and really tried, I just couldn't personally justify believing in an organized religion-type of God, and I have a fair amount of issues with how God is sometimes interpreted and portrayed by humans within organized religion and how that can bleed through into politics and the law/justice system... but that's a whole other thing that I won't get into here.

It was around 16 or 17 when I realized "nah, I'm not going to study law". I wanted to be a lawyer but it takes strong brains and a very good memory both which were gone for me by that age after fucked up shit happened and then I saw the translator path more attractive cause I liked foreign languages.

I don't think I've ever really "experimented" with any substance, unless we're counting the time I tried to mix eggnog with oolong tea to see how it would taste (pretty good actually). If that does count then I was 27. It was just a few days ago.
