69. Boomer.
Are Boomers already dead? Too happy since they got everything handed to them in life? Or what? It's weird how few there are here given how many there are out there.
Boomer here.
For now.
Nothing was ever handed to me. At age 10, I worked in a family business, no pay. At age 15, I lied about my age and got a "real job", $0.95/hr. At age 17 I moved out of my parents' house and have supported myself ever since. Age 22, two years off for babies. Went to college at age 40, worked full time with a full course load. Graduated with honors. I have worked 50 years out of my life of 69. At times I worked several jobs just to pay the rent. Never collected a penny from any social welfare, family member or friend. Every thing I have, I worked for. Blood, sweat, and tears.
And yes, I use computers. And a smart phone. Judiciously. So statements like we don't use computers and had everything handed to us are like oldsters saying the younger generation all live sponging off their parents and playing video games all day.
