how long is nembutal good for after you open it?

I'd like to open and it have it ready to go if needed. Would it stay good for a week or a month or only days?
the reason I may need to open it sooner than id like is thet I have neuropathy in my hands and need someone else to open it for me ahead of time

If it's opened, I would use it right away. I understand that you said you have neuropathy and can't open it yourself but why risk anything else? If you're going to use it, use it safely you don't risk terrible outcomes. That's just my opinion.

It's good for at least a month, and probably much longer even if you decant it into another well sealed container (ideally either amber glass or plastic). Pentobarbital is pretty stable in solution especially if sealed and refrigerated.

Thanks for this, for the author, I don't know anything about the pharmacology, I just didn't want to see someone waste such a peaceful way.

If you only cut the metal ring off and don't remove the rubber plug then it's technically not been opened and will still last years. Do you think you'll be able to just pull the plug out (they aren't tight and come out easily).

Is there any way you can open it just before using it? I think that'd be best. There are devices that open bottles for people with mobility issues. Otherwise decanting into a container you can easily open also sounds like a good idea. It's a stable drug; I wouldn't worry too much unless you're going to open it and then wait something like 7-10 years lol
